Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Which one are you dying to add to your collection?

Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

Boost your Star Wars collection with one contest entry

Few people have the dedication, and the good fortune, to have a large collection of Star Wars toys. Enter this contest and that will change. We will give away 2 great collections of this year’s new Star Wars toys as shown here:

Each of these prize packages has intelligent droids, exciting and fun drones, and the just announced, augmented reality wonder: Jedi Challenges—I bet this will be the hottest new toy for Christmas this year!

How to enter

As with all contests on the Best Buy blog, entering is easy. You can enter only once. In a comment below this article, tell us which one of the Star Wars toys in this contest prize is your favourite and why (you must tell us why it’s your favourite).

What you can win

We will randomly choose 2 winners from all eligible entries. One person will be awarded Prize A shown above, and the other will be awarded Prize B. Each prize is worth approximately $1880.

This contest runs from October 20th until November 2nd, 2017.

Remember you can only enter once. With prizes this fantastic, I suggest you increase your chances by telling all of your friends and family to enter too, and propose if any of your win you share the prize! Use the share buttons below to easily post the contest on your social channels.

Good Luck!

  1. My favorite is the SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID.

R2 is a classic. My 4 year old son, one year baby girl and I would have a blast with it.

Plus It’s my birthday in November wink wink. Born in 1977 (just saying)

  2. The SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID.

Because I love R2 and I’d love to have one hanging around the house 🙂 Could be cool for me and for the kids 🙂

  3. They all look awesome, but my is the PROPEL SW X WING DRONE CLR ED. I’ve always wanted to pilot an X-wing fighter and this is about as close as I’ll ever get!

  4. LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT. I feel this is the best prize because it can be used to encourage creativity and fine motor skills for all 3 of my kids. It seems to provide excellent stimulation for the younger children as well with the lights and sounds. Plus it is R2-D2!!

  5. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID, I grew up living and breathing the original Star Wars and have kept it as such a huge part of my life in adulthood. From my Death Star cookie jar to my Millennium Falcon necklace and my R2D2 ring tone. This prize pack and specifically the R2D2 toy would literally make my decade!

  6. C’mon! R2D2 has always been my fave but that little BB8 toy would be an awesome little companion!

    #BBBetter #sorrynotsorryR2

  7. oh my gosh so hard to choose!
i’d go with the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot because I have 2 sons who are obsessed with Robots. They would have an absolute field day with this toy! Plus, I cannot believe it has facial recognition, that is HELLA COOL!!

  8. SPHERO SW BB-8 APP-ENABLED DROID is my favourite. Having a little controllable BB-8 would be so cool! I’d feel like Rey. I’ve wanted this one for ages and the other prizes would be a fantastic bonus.

  9. R2-D2 is my favorite because this small droid has a lots of abilities (in fact he can communicate with any system on any space ship in galaxy) and it serves well for his master Luck Skywalker.

  10. The PROPEL SW TIE FIGHTER DRONE CLR ED! My whole family LOVES Star Wars! We have so many little Hot Wheel Starships (mostly Tie Fighters) for my son, all the books and movies, and he’s only 3.5! I would love to be able to really fly a Tie Fighter around for him! It would be an incredibly fun way to spend even more family time. The Christmas list is literally just all Star Wars 🙂

  11. The Sphero R2D2 is probably my favorite of the new toys. thier bb8 was awesome, but R2D2 is my favorite droid so I need to have him!

  12. I really love the littleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit. Why? B/c it lets everyone live out their Anakin inventor fantasies without having to be as annoying of a character.

  16. I wanna win for my son . He is 9 and he like to collect everything from Star Wars and he have an operation of his testical next week. If he can get this he will be happy and this is all I want him to be happy.

  17. The app controlled BB-8 is my son’s ultimate favourite. He loves to watch our entire Star Wars movie collection, and became a R2D2, and BB-8 know it all.

  18. My daughter is restricted by her wheelchair and I think that the droids would be interesting to her and perhaps helpful.

  20. I love the little BB 8, I love his personality, noises and the way he moves.. I have been a fan of Star Wars since I was a child and I love how the stores are being developed and continuing.

  21. My favourite is the
LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT. I know I would have a ton of fun inventing with my 3 precious granddaughters!

  22. littleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit

R2d2 is a big favorite in my house, we would love to maKe our own Droid!

  23. PROPEL SW TIE FIGHTER DRONE CLR ED. My kids and their father would love this. What an awesome Christmas gift this would make. Just being able to make something fly by remote control would be enough to get my kids out of the house!! lol

  24. Hands down my favourite is the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot!!! Introduced to the world in 1977! The Stormtroopers were the main ground force for the Galaxtic Empire, originally the force was made of clone troopers, and over time we have seen them become birth-born humans, building up to the great “traitor” Fin! Without whom Rey would have never begun her Jedi training.
Also, in the original Episode IV A New Hope, a Stormtrooper accidentally hits his head on a doorway while entering a security room, and fans loved it! The original “thonk” sound of the helmet was added back in to the remake for fans, and as an added Easter egg they have continued it as a tradition!

  25. My favourite is the Sphero R2D2 app enabled droid. I have loved Star Wars for yrs and this would be great to add to my collection of Star Wars stuff and my kids would love to play with to.

  26. The Sphero R2D2 has to be my favourite. R2 has always been my favourite character and something about having a version of him rolling around your house is awesome.

  27. They all look fun to tinker around with, but the STAR WARS BB8 RC has to be my favourite. Having almost a full sized droid to wheel around the house would help give my cats some much needed exercise!

  28. Definitely the BB8 Vtech smart watch! My little guy would go nuts Over that and it looks super cool!

  29. Sphero R2D2! My 8 year old daughter loves R2D2 and she would get such a kick out of being able to control R2 and even program R2.

  30. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID is my favourite! Why? R2-D2 is my favourite character and I would love to add it to my Star Wars collection!

  31. I’m torn between the Lenevo Jedi Challenges VR Headset and the Propel Star Wars X-Wing Battling Quadcopter Drone.
Do I want to look crazy by myself in my living room with the VR headset, or do I want to look crazy with a bunch of other crazies out in public battling drones. After writing this description, I would rather look crazy with other crazies—so the Battle drone it is! Why do I want it? Because it looks fun as heck and would look cool displayed in the house–need I say more.

  32. Lenovo Jedi Challenges my whole family loves Star wars and to interactively battle would be amazing and fun.

  33. UB TECH STORMTROOPER one of my favorites the new storm trooper everything it does is excellent way of being a star wars fan i own the voice activated r2d2 and like it would be the best to own the stormtrooper

  34. LENOVO STAR WARS: JEDI CHALLENGES is the coolest because it might be the closest I get the being a real Jedi.

  35. The Sphero BB-9E droid would be the tops so I can show my son that not only good guys have the cool stuff. The Empire can never die.

  36. SPHERO STAR WARS BB-9E APP-ENABLED DROID is my favourite. Who doesn’t want to control BB8 as he zooms around everywhere. Having races with the other droids would be awesome!
