Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

  3. My grand kids would love to get this prize. I think the best is prize pack B which includes PROPEL SW SPEEDER BIKE DRONE CLR ED and R2D2. They are their favorites.

  4. I would love the Littlebits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit…R2D2 has always been one of my favourite characters from back when I was young and watching the original trilogy with my Dad. This would be a great thing to build with my husband and son. It would be time well spent together.

  5. My favorite toy would be the jedi challenges augmented reality set. I think it would be a wonderful experience to enjoy for anyone whos always wanted to feel a part of that universe.

  6. I am torn between the LENOVO STAR WARS: JEDI CHALLENGES and the PROPEL SW X WING DRONE CLR ED.
    I was 15 when the first movie was released and I saw it 17 times. (I may or may not have sneaked in to some showings) Lol. I would have to say having the Jedi Challenges would be my favorite as it would be like bringing my childhood to life. Thanks Best Buy for the contest.

  8. Everyone and their dog got the BB- 8 sphero when the Force Awakens came out… except me. There was a few deaths in my family that year (which are all in SK and I’m in BC) so I spent all my cash the month before the new wave of SW toys came out. I’m after that BB-9E… same deal but more my colors and dreams. Pick me… peeps. Pulllleeeeez.

  9. I would have to say the X-Wing drone for sure, one of my memories with my grandfather was watching Star Wars and just being like “I want to fly an X-Wing!” And the drone could totally make that come true!

  10. Definitely the Sphero Star Wars R2 D2 app-enabled droid because my entire family loves Star Wars and my 7 year old son simply adores R2. He’s the droid he’s looking for.

  11. All of the toys look like a lot of fun, but the Little Bits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit is my favourite. My son loves building things, and he and I would have a great time building that together.

  13. My favourite is Prize B. My daughter (and me too) would lose her mind over that. App controlled R2D2 and BB8?! The level of detail on that R2D2 is amazing. It would also be pretty comical watching my Boston Terrier’s reaction to this guy roaming around the kitchen.

  15. My Favorite is the SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID, Why ? I’ve loved R2-D2, since I was a kid with the first Kenner Action Figures, and the Sphero comes the closest to the real thing in a toy.

  19. My favorite toy is the Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid because BB-8 is a cool droid and the toy has film-accurate detail, with authentic lights and sounds.

  22. OMG the littleBits Droid Inventor Kit is my favourite. Not only will my 3 kids love putting this together with Mom and Dad, but then we will have so much fun with it after it is built! It can take selfies – how cool is that!

  23. Without a doubt the Star Wars BB8 RC. I loved the little guy as soon as I saw the trailers for Star Wars VII and I just know my puppy dog would love to chase him around!!

  24. Since I’m old school and saw the first Star Wars in the movie theatres 12 times, yes you read it right. 12 times I went. It was the best movie ever and got me hooked. Who would know that my soon to be son would be a Star Wars fan as well. I think he build about 15 or more different Lego pieces. My all time favourite is R2-D2. He almost has human feelings and with all his little gagets and tricks he still gets a roar from the audiences to this day when he makes an appearance in the movie. R2-D2 all the way

  25. My favorite is the UB TECH Star Wars Stormtrooper. It looks like something the kids would have loads of fun with, and me probably myself too.

  26. My favourite is the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges. To get a chance to act like a Jedi through training and a Sabbacc Table has been a dream since I was a kid. My kids would also love a chance to train like a Jedi.

  27. My favourite is the Star Wars droid inventor kit! My son is very creative. In kindergarten he would create blue prints of houses etc. and he and his friends would go and build them! Christmas is coming up and my son Loves LEGO ❤️

  30. i use to have a old remote control r2d2 but it only had like 3 buttons and did very limited stuff, still it would catch a stray signal once in a while an pop to life and scare the hell out of my mom and sister, loved that toy, would love a new and improved one a whole lot more

  31. LittleBits™ Droid™ Inventor Kit is my favourite!! My kids absolutely love building robots and other toys so they would love this! It’s so neat how they can their own style and touch to make their droid how they want. Great for their imagination!!

  41. My favourite is the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges!!! My husband is huge into Star Wars, and over the years it has grown on me, so much so that we had the scene from Empire Strikes Back of Han Solo being frozen in Carbonite as our WEDDING CAKE topper, complete with stormtroopers, Darth Vader, C3PO, Chewbacca, and Leia. I would LOVE this gift to give my husband for Christmas to complete his Jedi Outfit. PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME PLEASE!!!!!

  42. My favorite would have to be the Droid Inventor kit. I go into schools to promote our University’s Physics and Engineering department and it would be a great interactive aid for when we talk to younger students!

  43. I’m stuck between the USB Storm Trooper and the R2-D2 Droid. Both could provide my boys with hours of fun programming/playing with them! We are a huge geek family and this would bring a lot of joy to this struggling family this Christmas. Thanks Best Buy for the opportunity!

  44. The droid inventor kit would be my favourite. I have a young son who absolutely adores building things. The opportunity for us to share an experience that combines his love for building with something I’ve loved my whole life would be incredible.

  48. Well. All of these toys are awesome!! Its hard to choose a favourite! I especially love all the remote control droids, but most of all the the R2-D2! I’m of the original trilogy generation so this one grabs me right in the heart!

    If I really want to be a superfan, the R2Q5 droid is awesome! My kids would love the inventors kits! We’d all love the drones….ALL OF THEM! What a great contest!

  49. My favorite is the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot. Lets be honest who wouldn’t want this guy protecting your home along side my dog. This thing is incredible! Not to mention it would go well with my Star War decor located throughout the house!

  50. My favourite is the Littlebuts Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit. After all, who wouldn’t want a functional R2D2 at home? This is awesome for anyone of any age who is still a kid at heart.
