Benefits of sending Tochie messages from anywhere to anyone

Limitless! That’s how I’d describe the number of ways to use a Tochie. Parents will love it: their kids will too. And of course, it could be a life-saver for seniors on their own. Even with my personal situation, where it’s just my wife and I, the Tochie would be perfect for reminders, contact me when the phone is on mute (which mine almost always is), etc. I know I’d get a lot of use from it … but I want to hear how you would use it. After all, Best Buy contests wouldn’t be very fair if I was eligible to win (given that I will be selecting the winner, haha).

I’ll suggest a scenario from my past life as a parent of young children to illustrate.

Go to bed now … wake up now … turn off your phone now

My children are adults, making the most of any lessons I imparted before they fled the nest. But several years ago, a Tochie in each child’s room would have been so useful. Schedule a message for bedtime (aka, toothbrush time, lights-out time, phones-off time). Schedule a message for mornings too. I have to admit I would have found this the most fun. Each day I’d add another message to play a minute after the previous ones I had recorded. They’d wake up to the same series of messages each morning: some inspirational, some motivational, some absolutely parental, and some just dad-joke comical. They would learn to listen through the repetition until finally they reach the new tasty tidbit of knowledge most recently added to the thread. There is no limit to the number of messages you record so I’d likely adjust the series to begin a little earlier each morning so they would not be late for school. Like I said kids would love it!

  1. I would use this to remind me of important things such as to take my pills in the evening, birthdays and when to schedule appointments.

  2. I would use it for many reminders for myself – especially to make sure I turn the stove burners off after use. My 2 grandsons would love these also.

  3. I would love to use one to remind my hubby of his “honey-do-list”…lol…but I think just one would do for us.

  4. Would be very useful to remind me of many things – i.e. birthdays – not a morning person it would help to keep me on track of what is important that day

  5. This would be an incredible help for my elderly mother, who is starting to lose her memory. Setting personal reminders, and being able to update them remotely, would help me help her. It seems like a god send. I love that the end user doesn’t need to learn anything new.

  6. I need two of these. I would place one in the bedroom to ask me if I’m getting up! That one would have several reminders after my phone alarm goes off because I am lazy and don’t want to get up. I could sing that reminder to motivate me to get up and get away from my voice!! The second one will be in my open kitchen, dining room, living room area and can be used to remind me of appointments, what day it is (when you are retired all days are the same), to do my daily exercises (again lazy), etc.

  7. I would use the Tochie Personal Voice Aid to send personal greetings to my Mother, my daughter and my Father
I would also use it to remind my husband of appointments as well

  8. I love to use humour in my everyday life so I would use the Tochie Personal Aide to drive my husband nuts with messages such as “You forgot to get milk again.”, “No, I don’t know where the darn remote is!” and my recent message would be “It snowed today. It snowed yesterday and it’s going to snow tomorrow. The shovel is out in the garage.” LOL!

    • Hi Debbie, this is too funny. I hope your husband doesn’t read this just yet. haha! But thanks for your fun comment!

  9. I would use this to set reminders for myself, as a busy law student I am often forgetting things. I would only need one because its just me!

  12. I would need a couple: one for our family to remind us of appointments and one for my my in-laws to remind me to take their pills

  13. I would need a couple: one for our family to remind us of appoints and one for my my in-laws to remind me to take their pills

  14. I would use a Tochie to help me build new habbits and reinforce good habbits like brushing my teeth before bed setting bedtime routine and wake up times and reminders to take the garbage and which weeks the recycling goes out and I want one for my mom so I can encourage her to take her alzheimers meds

  15. at least a couple, remind my mom to get up off the couch once in a while, and another to annoy the cat every once in a while…

  16. I’d program this gadget to remind me to take my pills, which are all to be ingested at different hours.

  17. I would use a joke of the day each morning to get everyone in a good mood. I would need one for the upstairs and downstairs.

  18. I would use a Tochie Personal Voice Aide to remind me of upcoming appointments. I would want one for each room of my house.

  19. I would use the Tochie Personal Voice Aide to help my two young children learn time limits on devices and help with their sleeping schedules!

  20. I would use this to remind my GF to update her phone and laptop which she never does, so I would need 2 , 1 for me so she could remind me to update her phone and laptop and one for her so she would at the least get the message.
