XW-PD1The first day at NAMM was a preview of what was to come: Walking the floor, meeting product vendors, seeing lots of new cool stuff and then writing about it … repeating many times.

Some of the highlights of NAMM Day 1 include Casio’s XW-PD1 – a fantastic tool for EDM and desktop musicians – and the CZ App for iPad – a resurrection of the famous CZ-101 synthesizer

Fender treated us to a walk through American-made musical cornerstones. The company is deservedly proud of the craftmanship that goes into each product it manufactures. It stays true to what the foundation upon which it is built, but also offers up products like the “10 for ’15” line that push into uncharted territory.

Roland TD-1K

Roland showed us some toys that will please the drummer, guitarist, vocalist and keyboardist. The new TD-1K kits are not only affordable, but fun to play. The vocailst and singer/songwriter will love the new VE-2 box that tracks music in real time to adjust vocal harmonies to suit the music.

It’s going to be a fun ride!
