What’s it like to combine a Fitbit smartwatch or tracker with a desire for a healthy lifestyle? Perhaps you have a Fitbit and know the answer from personal experience. Perhaps you have always wanted a Fitbit so you could find out for yourself how much a difference a Fitbit will make for you. Perhaps you just read our new article about Fitbit and now you want to give one to your loved ones. This contest is for everyone who want to become more aware of their bodies and their fitness; enter this contest and you might win a new Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker with GPS, heart rate monitor, and many other amazing features!

Where should you start if you want to become more healthy

Many people want to live healthier but don’t know how to start. Perhaps you did start but couldn’t stay motivated day in and day out. I’m not going to tell you to get out there and train for a marathon. I will suggest before making a change to your lifestyle, get a proper assessment from your doctor. This is Canada after all and part of the benefits of our healthcare system is we can be proactive without spending a fortune.

And on the topic of being proactive, purchasing a Fitbit is a low-cost proactive way to advance your healthy lifestyle goals. Have you seen gym membership costs lately? Imagine having the benefits of a personalized fitness program right on your wrist. Now also imagine that included with that is a minute by minute record of every activity you do from taking a walk to mowing the lawn. It also records your heart rate! Perhaps the order of operations should be: get a Fitbit, have it record your heart rate for a few days, then visit the doctor and show him that data to help him understand how fit you are before you start exercising!

Stay motivate and stay on track with new features in the Fitbit app

What happens when you wear a Fitbit? Well, at first you might start to take a few extra steps in a day. Then you might set meaningful goals. Incrementally you see progress. It’s not magic; you still must do the work. But you’ll be aware of how much that work is paying off!

New features keep getting added to the Fitbit app too. For example, recently they added Active Zone Minutes which is designed to help you get the 150 minutes of exercise (or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise) each week recommended by the World Health Organization. To get Active Zone Minutes your heart rate needs to go up. How much? Leave that to the Fitbit on your wrist to calculate. It monitors every movement you make, whether it’s a quick vacuuming around the home or a jog around the block. It all adds up and you know how much it’s adding up right in the Fitbit app.

Learn more about Fitbit and the Fitbit app from this recent feature article. You’ll also learn about Fitbit Premium which gives you access to hundreds of workout videos designed to help you get the most from your Fitbit. 1. Fitbit Charge 4 is my favourite. From what I have read, It has GPS, tracks sleep patterns and it’s swimproof! Sounds like something interesting and fun!

  2. The Fitbit Charge 4 and the Active Zone would be beneficial because it’s not always about walking, I work hard gardening, cleaning etc so it would be great to see if I hit the Active Zone.

  3. I LOVE every fitbit but my favorites must be the fitbit versa lite edition and the fitbit charge 4 (I just can’t choose!) I love the versa lite edition because of the color choices, the female health tracking and the all-day activity tracking that would be perfect for my active lifestyle! However, the fitbit charge 4 is the perfect fitbit because it has so many goal based exercice modes and it can control also music and my sleep!!

  4. WHO recomends 150 minutes of excercise a week. The Fitbit 4 uses Active Zone Minutes to monitor your heart rate and help you keep that goal.

  5. I like the Fitbit Charge 4 Special Edition because I can use it while doing all my favorite activities including swimming, track my sleep, and it looks cute!

  6. i currently have a versa lite, it works pretty good but the new versions connect to amazon. love that and sleek design is a plus! been wanting to upgrade so this is great

  7. The Fitbit Charge 4 would be my choice. A lot of new features
Data collecting heart rates help plan activities and keep me moving, work out routines. Also
tracking sleep patterns. Trial period on premium plan bonus.

  8. The charge 2 is my fave because of the memories I made while having it overseas and how I used it to compete against my friends… it kept us close, even when we were far apart!

  9. Honestly I’ve never owned a Fitbit so I don’t have a favorite. But the Fit Bit Charge 4 sounds like a great device to have to stay healthy!

  10. I have loved my Alta HR for 2 years but I need a bigger screen. The Charge 4 looks like it has everything I want in a fitness tracker.

  11. I have always wanted a Fitbit Charge 4. Keeping everything crossed. I want to monitor my daily routine and this would help.

  12. I really like the Charge 4, because it’s not as bulky as the versa 2 more sleek like the inspire but alot more features and bells and whistles than the inspire. Like having the weather options available right with a tap of my finger

  13. I really love the Fitbit Charge 4 because of the sleep monitoring and I really like the sleek design.

  14. I needed a new Fitbit after mine broke last week. It’s a bit wider but I got used to that right away. The touch screen took a few days to get used to but its great now. I am very happy with the GPS tracking (I do turn it off when walking the dog, shopping, etc. to reduce battery drain, and only use the GPS for fitness walks, etc.).
I am very happy with the sleep tracking.
I am very happy with all the data analysis, presented in numerous graphs.

  15. I would love to be able to track my steps, working in an emergency department as a nurse some days I know I put a lot of steps in a 12 hr shift. Would be great to track it

  16. I love the idea of the fitbit charge 4 letting me know if I actually get my heart rate up and get in the active zone minutes. For a senior who is trying to get more active, but has some health challenges this fitbit provides the feedback to you in a way that you can see your progress and make sure your heart rate is in a healthy zone. The gps is a wonderful feature for those of us that are challenged and can get turned around and lost.
