Intel Gaming Week features some of the top names in PC gaming including MSI and Dell (who supplied the prizes for this contest). Read on to learn more about Intel’s most advanced processors, including Intel’s 12th Gen processors released this year. Then enter for your chance to win one of the two amazing laptops we are giving away.

Step up your gaming and leap ahead of the competition

Last year Intel released the amazing 11th Gen H Series processors bringing desktop calibre performance to laptops. Intel called it, “Desktop power for any desk” because Intel-powered laptops have evolved to deliver comparable performance of a bulky desktop so you can play high resolution, maximum frame rate games anytime and anywhere.

This year Intel announced an evolutionary leap in computing with their 12th Gen series of processors. We covered the main features of this announcement in an article on the blog at the beginning of this year. Gamers will get huge performance improvements thanks to the new hybrid architecture. The 12th Gen series mobile processors feature up to 6 Performance cores (P-cores) optimized for maximum responsiveness, and up to 8 Efficient cores (E-cores) optimized for threaded workloads and background tasks. Power gamers will be able to overclock both sets of cores to get faster performance than ever before.

Built for the next generation of gaming

Obviously, a gaming laptop is used for much more than just gaming. The ability for a laptop to keep gaming performance at maximum intensity while also performing complex background tasks is becoming more and more important. Many games require a steady connection to the internet during a game, for competing and for communicating with team mates in other cities; for downloading game components and add-ons; and more.

One of the most demanding auxiliary tasks that gamers do is live streaming or live recording for later playback of their gameplay. There are many people already streaming on Twitch and YouTube, and most are not able to stand out. The fact is, many gamers don’t have a machine powerful enough to keep their gaming at a peak level while they stream: the demands of streaming can dramatically impact the quality and consistency of gameplay, and thereby affect how engage their audience is. Imagine the challenges for a laptop to try to keep up with the complexities of a battle, the graphic demands and more, while at the same time capturing the action and sharing it over the internet. 12th Gen Intel® CoreTM powered laptops were built so you get the best of both worlds: the best gaming laptop and the best multitasking laptop ever created. Streaming with a laptop like this may be just what you need to stand out from the crowd.

How to enter

If you already stream your gameplay, do you post on a social site like YouTube or Twitch or just for fun (you can put your channel link here for some free advertising if you wish).
  2. For up to three (3) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win a Dell or MSI laptop from the Best Buy Blog’s Intel Gaming days contest; include the hashtag #BestBuyContest, so we can find your post, and include a picture of the prize like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below, on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there. Add one comment below for each social media channel for up to 3 contest entries.

  1. Playing stream worthy games isn’t an option with my current hardware! Winning either of the laptop prizes will make it possible to play modern games and stream them (my game playing at may or may not be stream-worthy ).

  2. i have streamed some of my gameplay during the early days of covid, just to share with friends.

  3. I don’t think I would stream but I love to watch streamers and their gameplay/commentary

  4. Streaming is not something I would consider doing over my laptop. I do a lot of personal business on my laptop and have a real concern over hackers

  5. I am pretty sure that interacting with others would throw off my concentration so that would be a no.

  6. I don’t think streaming would be for me. I like to play games on my own at my own pace. I also think having to talk while gaming would totally throw off my concentration. However, I’m very thankful for players who don’t mind streaming, as it’s especially helpful when you are stuck somewhere in a game!

  7. I probably would not stream, but I might. The main reason against it, would privacy considerations and/or if the laptop is capable of doing both (which these ones probably, compared to my slow ones). If I were to stream, in the beginning I wouldn’t do anything different, then to enjoy the game.

  8. I might consider streaming in the future once I learn more about it, but for now, it’s just me.

  9. I would probably start streaming cause it seems really fun to stream while others watching me play

  10. I haven’t streamed before but would consider it if I had a high speed lap top like the ones in this article. It would be fun to be part of the gaming community.

  11. I’ve tried streaming before and it was good fun, but my computer wasn’t powerful enough. With one of these new laptops I could start doing it again.

  12. Probably wouldn’t stream because I really am hesitant to let people know how bad I am. My brothers laugh at my skill level telling me I “play” the microwave better – as if I don’t know the difference between the two! One day, I’ll show them. But first, I need a fabulous new gaming laptop (not a bulky stationary desk top) so I can up my game, take it anywhere and demolish “my enemies”.

  13. I am not good enough to stream – would make me even more nervous – but my sons would enjoy the feature!
