Review: Sony MDR-AS600BT Bluetooth Wireless Sports Headset
I walk about an hour a day to the SkyTrain and home, rain or shine. It’s a great time to listen to new music on Spotify or call friends and family; I’ve spend the past few years flipping between headphones from Bose, Monster, and my Apple EarPods. The one thing that most of them have had in common is that they have a cable running from the earphones to my phone. That cable gets snagged, pulls and will either rip out of the audio jack or pull my phone out of my pocket on a bad day. For the last week I’ve been using the Sony Bluetooth® Wireless Sports Headset on my walk. Have they solved the cable problem and are they worth buying? Read on to find out!
Review: Jabra Wireless Sports Earbuds
A few weeks ago I launched myself into a fitness program that makes cross-fit look like a walk in the park with a bunch of puppies. Needless to say, it’s tough. So you can imagine how excited I was when I was asked to review three different pairs of wireless ear buds from Jabra. I mean, if any workout was going to test the limits of headphones, the one I’ve embarked on was definitely going to do the trick.

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a pair of Beats headphones. So long so that my last pair says “MONSTER” on them still. In my hands are a similar, but different, pair of Beats Solo headphones. Now part of the Apple family and shorn of the cable that used to connect them to devices, Beats by Dr. Dre Solo2 On-Ear Sound Isolating Bluetooth Headphones feel more free. Are they as good as the price tag would imply? Read on to find out.
Review: Sony Wireless Headsets
I love music. No matter where I am or what I’m doing, you can be sure that I have headphones of some sort near me, or on me. Needless to say I was pretty excited when I had the opportunity recently to review two models of Sony Wireless Stereo Headsets. After a week of testing, here’s my take on the two models.
Best Buy Kiosks – Electronic Vending Machines Surprisingly Effective!
I’ve done a fair bit of traveling already this year, and couldn’t help but notice Best Buy Kiosks in quite a few airports that I ended up in. I never imagined buying electronics out of a vending machine, but actually it is a brilliant idea. Having done hundreds of business trips over the years, I inevitably had occasions where I forgot my headphones or an important cable. I hate arriving at the airport too early so I usually don’t have much time to spare. A kiosk is a perfect solution because it is a quick and secure way to quickly pick up important necessities.
Sports Headphones That Make Fitness Fun
I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine exercising without music. Not only does it motivate me to work harder—especially when certain pop anthems from more than a decade ago come on (like Toxic by Britney Spears … don’t judge me)—but music helps to pass the time and gives me something to concentrate on other than how sweaty I am and how smelly the guy is on the treadmill next to me. I’ll suggest a couple great headphones that can help keep fitness fun for you, and for the people around you.

Review: Jaybird Reign Fitness Tracker
For the past week, I’ve been rocking a new accessory on my left wrist – the Jaybird Reign Activity Tracker. Introduced earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Reign goes above and beyond what other activity trackers offer by encouraging balance and prompting those who wear it to improve their habits. It tells you when you need more sleep, when you need to take it easy, and when you are your optimal self, and I recently got a chance to take one for a test drive. Here’s my take after wearing Reign 24/7 for one week.
