Thinkware dash cams make driving safer for everyone. For most of us, driving is the riskiest thing we do every day. There are few things we can do to protect our loved ones who must take to the roads, for short or long drives, commuting, or even just shopping. Properly maintained vehicles is a basic necessity. Thinkware dash cams provide “next level” protection. Enter this contest and you might win either a Thinkware Q1000 or Thinkware X800 dash cam.
Should all cars come standard with a Thinkware dash cam
Seatbelts were legislated in Canada all the way back in the 1970s. Wearing a seatbelt is so commonplace, many of us can’t imagine driving without using one. Similarly, back up cameras are found in most vehicles now and not having one seems, well, just wrong. Both seatbelts and backup cameras met with resistance upon their introduction. Many people just didn’t want to put on a seatbelt. Similarly, some people felt that a back up camera was simply a crutch, ensuring that drivers didn’t learn proper technique when backing up. Yet here we are, in a better place with both technologies in use for the betterment of drivers everywhere. Driving is safer with seatbelt and backup camera tech.
I contend that dash cams are another tech that drivers and cars are safer with rather than without. And Thinkware dash cams come with a host of features to protect drivers and car owners. Once you have one, you don’t want to be without one again.
Thinkware dash cams do much more than just record the road ahead
In the movie “Next,” Nic Cage is able to protect people in danger with his gift to see a couple minutes into the future. A Thinkware dash cam is kind of doing that by capturing where your car will be in the near future. When things go wrong on the road, having that footage can make a huge difference in your life. It shows how other people reacted to a novel situation. Our memories are fallible; in moments of excitement our brains can mix up timelines, and even “remember” incorrectly. Dash cam evidence presented to the police or even to a judge (if a dispute gets that far) is indisputable.
There is a lot of information coming from a Thinkware dash cam and you can track it all in the app. This includes remote viewing of the cameras, GPS/speed detection, crash detection, impact detection while parked, and more. Imagine if your spouse is commuting to work … you can follow their progress and know if they get stopped for some reason. I was recently at a concert and my truck was broken into … I wish I had a dash cam to alert me!

Good Luck.
I don’t have a dash cam and always wanted one as it will help when you are involved in an accident.
I don’t have a dash cam yet in my car and the feature that I think would make them an important tool would be that it catches what happens in case we’re in a bad accident.
I’ve got a basic dash cam that’s sorely missing the ability to come on while the car is parked! A good feature would be a battery to be able to do that alongside capacitors to work in extreme temperatures.
I don’t have a dash cam but would be good for insurance purposes
A feature I think is important for drivers is being able to have evidence if there is a crime or collision.
no dash cam but good for insurance purposes
I don’t have one, but I think it would be very handy if there were an accident.
I don’t have a dash cam , but I think it would benefit everyone if everything was recorded.
Have been thinking of getting a dashcam for a while now for peace of mind in the event of a collision to show who is at fault.
Recording collisions and proving fault is so important. I’ve been involved in 5 accidents where the other driver was at fault but all ended up with the other insurance company trying to avoid responsiblity. In 4 of these cases I had witnesses that confirmed my story and the other drivers insurance ended up paying 100% of the damages. With a dashcam, I could have proven all the accidents, including the 5th one I was not at fault and I wouldn’t have to depend on witnesses.
I don’t have a dash cam but am really interested in them. I think impact detection while parked would be useful and crash detection is very important for all vehicle owners.
I do not have a dash cam, but they are important for insurance companies to see who is at fault.
I don’t have a dash cam. I think it would be important to have to see who is at fault in an accident.
I don’t have one, but I think it would helpful in case of an accident.
I do not have a dash cam but it would be great to track my travels and record it for my Insurance company, love the night mode
I don’t have a dash came….but have wanted one for awhile now…just can’t afford it yet. But it is simply the fact that it would be a “digital witness” not just if something were to happen to me, but also if I were to see something happen to others, I could potentially offer help in terms of the recording. But simply having that backup “proof” of what happened if there were any issues……would be priceless.
Last year our highway had not been plowed overnight, with over 8 inches of snow……I caught a rut turning off and hit a light pole. I filed a claim with the highways….but they said they HAD cleared and maintained the highway to their “standards”….and would not cover any damages. I was furious…and had no “evidence” other than the pictures I took the next morning of my car. “Dash Cam” would have given me PROOF that the highway was untouched by the plows…..so it is things like that, having the “digital witness’ where it is worth it’s weight in gold.
Thank you for this chance Best Buy and Martin.
I do not but I think it would helpful in case of an accident.

Don’t have a dash cam, but it would be useful in case of hit and runs.
I don’t have a dash cam in my vehicle right now but it would be great to be able to record the crazy things that some drivers do. I encountered a person going the wrong way on a cul-de-sac last week and I wish I had that on camera because he was close to hitting me and I would have needed that for insurance purposes.
I don’t have one but would like it to have crash detection and impact detection features fir safety.

No Dash Cam. Record Traffic.
I do have an older dash cam and being able to have an impartial witness to something is invaluable
i don’t have one but it would be useful in the event of an accident
Had one in the past. Great for presenting physical proof of the events of any accidents along the way.
I have a dash cam on my vehicle right now. The most important things would be easy to operate and good quality, a lot of the dash cams have trouble capturing license plates or aren’t very effective at night. An upgraded dash cam would make me feel more comfortable and at ease if evidence was needed for an unfortunate circumstance.
I don’t have a dash cam in my vehicle but the fact they can capture somewhat objective evidence for insurance / vandalism is reassuring.
I don’t have one and their very important to record bad drivers and accidents and any kind of crime for video footage evidence evidence and to get their drivers license etc.
I don’t have a dash cam currently but having a recording of any accidents would be useful for insurance
I do not have a dash cam. It would be nice to have one in case you get into an accident and will be able to have video of the event.
I don’t have a dash cam currently, having a record of interactions on the road would be very beneficial.
I don’t have a dash cam but I think the remote viewing of the cameras would deter break-ins.
I don’t have a dashcam, but I think it would be so handy if anything happens to my car! Crash detection and impact detection while parked are very attractive features.
Neither of our vehicles has a dashcam. I think the ADAS and collision warning features are important tools for drivers.

Don’t have one currently but think that having a record of road interactions could be useful.
I don’t have a dash cam however this would be great for safety reasons! I like the GPS feature that tracks your speed and route. This is a great safety feature!
I do not have a dash cam but think they are so important for protecting loved ones. I believe night time mode is most important as human visibility decreases in the dark so this is an important safety feature
