The Google Nest Hub 2nd generation keeps you entertained
Whether it’s movies, TV, music, podcasts, audiobooks, or some other form of media you enjoy watching or listening to, the Google Nest Hub always keeps you entertained. It provides access to all the most popular music streaming services, like Spotify and TuneIn, as well as on-demand video platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, and Disney+. Note that some subscription based services do charge fees.
Music played through the Google Nest Hub sounds beautiful, having 50% more bass than the original Nest Hub. You can also see what’s playing and view your saved playlists. Simply say “Hey Google” or tap to play, pause, switch between tracks, or control the speaker’s volume. And you can pair the display with your other Nest speakers to create a speaker group and fill your home with glorious music. Or watch movies, TV shows, and YouTube videos on any subject on your Nest Hub’s screen.
Bring home the perfect smart assistant
The Google Nest Hub 2nd generation becomes the heart of your smart home. As your home’s main control centre, the Nest Hub shows you all of your connected devices in one place, and it provides complete access to and control over them. This means that you can easily manage all of your compatible smart home devices with as little as a tap of the finger. Alternatively, you can ask Google to carry out the tasks for you. An additional microphone on the second generation Nest Hub allows it to hear all your commands loud and clear.
For example, if you have a Nest Cam smart home security camera watching over your front door, you can easily see what’s happening whenever someone visits. Simply say, “Hey Google, show me the front door camera,” and the camera’s live feed will instantly display on your Nest Hub’s screen. Similarly, any time your Nest Video Doorbell rings, the Nest Hub will immediately show you who’s come calling.
Impressive health and wellness features
Sleeping better means living better, which is why the Google Nest Hub 2nd generation has special health and wellness features to help you sleep better and wake up gently in the morning. For instance, the Sunrise Alarm makes waking up easier by gradually brightening the Hub’s display and increasing the volume of its alarm. If you need a little more sack time, the Quick Gestures feature allows you to snooze the alarm with a simple wave of your hand.
If tracking the quality of your sleep is important to you, the Sleep Sensing feature will track when you go to bed, when you wake up, and how long you sleep.1 Simply place the Hub on your bedside table where its Motion Sense feature can easily detect and monitor your movements and breathing—without the aid of a camera. In time, the device will learn your sleeping patterns and provide you with personalized feedback and advice that will help to improve the quality of your sleep so you can achieve a better night’s rest.2
1 Sleep Sensing is available for preview at no additional cost until next year. After preview ends, a paid subscription may be required. Features are subject to your permissions and settings. They use motion, sound, and other device and sensor data to work, and require placing the device close to the bed and calibrating the device for your sleeping position. Google Assistant, Google Fit, and other Google apps may be required for full functionality. Google Assistant requires a Google Account.
2 Sleep Sensing is not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate, prevent, or treat any disease or condition. Consult your healthcare professional if you have questions about your health. Device placement and nearby people, pets, or noises can cause inaccurate readings.
