My mother and I made Nanaimo Bars at Christmas and now my daughter and I make Nanaimo Bars at Christmas using the recipe passed down from my mother.

Making banana bread is the thing I do best. Would love a stand mixer for the dough, though.
Every year our family bakes cookies together as well as baking gingerbread for building a few gingerbread houses. Its the start of the Christmas season for us and brings us together in that magical holiday spirit. For Christmas dinner we also make our longstanding family’s traditional and unique take on a Waldorf Salad with fresh fruits, colourful mini marshmallows and miracle whip, etc. Everyone looks forward to the season and the food!

During the holidays one a year, our family gets together and cooks a big turkey dinner. It is a tradition we have been doing for the past 10 years.
When we were kids, our parents moved us to the country every summer. We had huge gardens, fruit trees, berry bushes and some smaller farm animals. Come fall, our “harvest” was prepped for winter storage. We made jams, jellys, apple sauce and a minimum of 40 carrot cake loafs each year. A true production in a kitchen that actually had a wood burning stove and oven
My step kids has are aspiring to be the next Cake Boss
I make Taralli, little italian cracker biscuits, like my mother made every christmas. They are an involved process (raise dough, shape cracker, boil cracker, and then bake cracker) but I had fun as a child doing this with my mother and I share it with my kids as well.
Every year my family makes cookies together and we wrap them up to share with our neighbours. It’s a tradition and gets us all together and in the festive spirit
Oh the typical gingerbread house making is always a tradition of our family every year!
My wife was doing her Holiday Baking & Coking & sure could have used something like your “KitchenAid Professional stand mixer” to make it easier.
Every Christmas we make this treat, I don’t know what others may call them, but in my household we call them chicken bones. Basically Peanut Butter mixed with Rice Krispies formed into a finger shape and then dipped in melted chocolate and kept in the fridge. They are amazing.
A cherished family tradition is when extended family comes over during the holidays and we cook a big meal in the kitchen together. We also have other family members bring in their own speciality meals which makes it an amazing feast.
Before my mother died she made her favourite “cookie” recipe for Christmas. It’s a goofy recipe – marshmallows dipped in a toffee sauce, then rolled in rice crispies and frozen. I make them every year in rememberance of her. It wouldn’t be Christmas without these.

My wife loves to cook but doesn’t bake. EXCEPT for the couple weeks before Christmas, some for us and some to give away. It’s always a highlight of the season.
Every year my daughter and I would start baking in October, making fruit cake for my parents and grandparents, various types of shortbread, cookies and other treats, which mainly became gifts for others. We also spent a few weeks baking and building a full sized gingerbread house which was lots of fun, especially the decorating and then eating. My daughter has asked for many of my recipes over the years, but this year asked for the gingerbread house one. She is going to make one with my granddaughter this year, which really brings home such great memories!
My mom loves to bake, some of my best memories are her cinnamon rolls and cookies. Definitely brightens everyone’s day
Our family recipe is making cinnamon rolls and then making a cream cheese orange icing to pour over them at the table.
Hands down it would be the pasta attachment that I would use. I’m a proud carbo- holic
Id like to try the pasta making tool
Our family loves to bake all differemt cookies and breads too

My mom always made lots of cookies and cakes for Christmas and shared them with her family and friends. Since her passing I’ve tried to continue the tradition with some of her favourite recipes.
Making Cakes Cookies and Pastries for the Family at the Holidays and throughout the year and for Special Occasions such as Birthdays and especially weekly gatherings at our Church where all of the Parishioners have a tasty treat after Sunday Services.
We (okay, mostly my wife) make lots of cookies for the holiday season. Often starting a month or two early and freezing many of them, so we have plenty when we need them.

Making cabbage rolls with my Mother
Making Shortbread Cookies with Gramma
My favorite cooking memory from Christmas time was making blueberry pancakes with my grandmother when I would sleep over Christmas eve. Nothing beats having blueberry pancakes and whipped cream Christmas morning. This year would have been her 100th birthday, boy I miss her.

I learned to make Christmas Swedish butter cookies when my youngest son had a heritage food project, and they’re so much fun to involve kids in making them that his whole class requested them for every special event for the next two years, and I was willing to comply (especially with a little help from little hands).
A family recipe tradition in my family is making homemade Greek chicken rice soup and roasted potatoes with lemon. Their both so comforting and so good especially during holidays and the colder weather in general and help warm you up making you nice and cozy. Their recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation in my family and are made with love and care every time. I love to add some vegetables like celery and carrots to add some extra flavors and make it heartier.
