Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles brief overview

If you’ve never played Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, let me tell you a little bit about it. The game focuses on a young group of travellers know as the Crystal Caravans. They embark on a journey in search for a rare liquid called myrrh. This rare liquid is needed to cleanse and maintain a crystal that protects them and their world from a poisonous gas, miasma.

As a result, you and up to three other friends set out to explore beautiful lands full of secrets and battle dangerous foes.

A number of new enhancements and features

In addition to updated HD visuals and sound, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition features various new enhancements. Some of these enhancements include:

  • Challenging new dungeons and bosses: There are new dungeons and bosses added to this remaster for you and your friends to explore.
  • New character voice overs: Characters are brought to life with new voice acting.
  • Online multiplayer with cross-play functionality: It’s now easier than ever before to team up with three other players regardless of platform and enjoy the adventure.

And, if that wasn’t enough, Square Enix have included a brand-new Mimic feature to the game. This allows players to take on the form of various characters they have met on their journey. You earn crystals, which allow you to change into any of the characters you have met by collecting stamps, visiting Moogle Houses, or by completing difficult dungeons.

  1. I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!

I have been looking forward to this since it was announced. I had a lot of fun back in the day playing the original on the GameCube with my friends, using our Gameboy Advances as controllers with the Gameboy controller adapter.

I will be playing this game Day 1, maybe even online with my buddy Jon!
