Back4Blood steelbook postersWe all know that some of the best artists in the world work in the video games industry. In fact, I saw a recent Reddit thread where people were excited about the incredible graphics in Back 4 Blood. (SteelBook version now available for preorder exclusively at Best Buy. Ultimate Edition launches Oct 8, 2021. Standard Edition launches Oct 12, 2021.). Also, the two metal prints shown above have garnered considerable interest from enthusiasts. Therefore, I am really happy to announce that Best Buy has been asked to give some away in this contest!

Bring on the Back 4 Blood zombie apocalypse!

We have to work together to survive! That’s the general idea of this cooperative first person shooter from the creators of the hugely popular Left 4 Dead. Play with up to three friends in online cooperative mode to defeat the once-human hosts of a deadly parasite: the Ridden. Or play PvP (Player vs Player) in Swarm Mode with up to seven other players. We’ll have a full review of the game on the Best Buy Blog after it’s released, but for now you can learn more about the game from Matthew Rondina’s descriptive preview article on the blog.

Back 4 Blood comes out on October 12th but if you can’t wait to play, the Ultimate Edition launches on October 8th and Best Buy will have exclusive SteelBook versions of the game for Xbox and PlayStation. There are many people who collect SteelBooks and Best Buy is one of the best places to find a huge range of them for both games and movies. To celebrate the release of the game on SteelBook, we are giving away ten pairs of metal Back 4 Blood prints created by ICONART™.

Great games often begin with great artists

Gaming can be graphic: as the images above clearly show. These images not only help tell the story, but they draw us into the whole gaming experience, helping us buy into the narrative so we compete at our best. You’ve likely played many games in amazement of the detailed backgrounds, the tight integration of image and story, and the artistic talent necessary to make the game come alive. Each explosion, each spine-tingling suspense filled dark room, not to mention the originality of the characters themselves would not be as effective without the work of artists like those who worked on Back 4 Blood. This contest gives you the opportunity to own a unique piece of gaming history from the makers of the game and from ICONART™.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter twice as mentioned below:

  1. In one comment below, tell us the game you have played that you feel has some of the best artwork in the industry AND what new game do you think ICONART™ should consider for its next line of amazing SteelBook posters?
  2. For an additional entry, create a public post on a social media channel of your choosing, telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win two Back 4 Blood ICONART™ prints from the Best Buy blog; include the hashtag #Back4BloodContest and a picture of the blog contest like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, etc.) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will randomly select ten winners from all eligible entries posted in the blog comments. Each winner will receive a pair of Back 4 Blood ICONART™ prints as shown at the top of this article.

This contest runs from Sept 27th until October 11th.

Remember you can enter up to twice following the directions above. Don’t miss your chance to win these amazing posters for your wall and share this with your gaming friends so they too have a chance to win.

  1. I may be old school but I think Red Alert 2 (Command and Conquer) had really good artwork and I would love if ICONART would make artwork based on Red Alert 2. It would be amazing !!

  2. I just finished Ghost of Tsushima and it’s one of the most beautiful looking games I’ve ever played, so I’ll go with that.

  3. The Witcher has incredible graphics I think that ICONART should consider Forbidden Horizon for its next line of amazing SteelBook posters.

  4. I’d have to say it’s a toss up between The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Dead By Daylight could inspire some wicked art from these folks.
