Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  2. The Samsung 8K Quantum Processor looks like a game changer to me! I like the face that it can adjust lower resolution content up to 8K. My favourite Samsung model would be the QN65Q900TSFXZC.

  4. I like the Acoustic Surface Audio feature on some of the Sony TVs. I feel like it would make a big difference to the movie watching experience. My favourite Sony model is the A8H since it’s OLED, plus has the Surface Audio and other features.

  32. LG’S nano tech is very impressive! We know how good their OLED tv’s are, and as FALD becomes better in current models, LG’s stunning clarity, colour and vibrancy really shines through. The 8K 65” model (or larger 75”) with FALD, insane resolution and clarity, better black levels would be the ultimate home theatre experience. With nano-colour, 8k clarity, better blacks, great off axis viewing angles…I’m already drooling at just the idea of such a tv! Wow!

  44. With regards to SONY TVs, I’m most excited for the X-Motion Clarity feature, because I like action films as well as playing immersive games that take full advantage of camera dynamics. The Sony 65″ 4K HDR LED Android Smart TV (X950H) is my favourite SONY TV featured.

  45. The new feature that I am most excited by from LG is the NVIDIA G-SYNC feature since I do a lot of gaming on my TV.

    The LG model that is my favourite is the 86NANO90UNA because it is so massive!!
