Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  1. The LG feature I’d really like to go and see — once Best Buy stores can open again — is the OLED TV with NVIDIA G-Sync compatability. I read in your blog that this technology creates highly detailed picture quality due to the 8 million-plus self-lit pixels. I’m intrigued by the flawless gaming experience this quality creates. An LG Premium TV I like is the LG NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED WebOS Smart TV (65NAN080UNA).

  2. Of the Samsung Premium TVs available at Best Buy, I really like the built-in swivel feature Sero By Samsung. This would be so helpful in my space, where I can’t place the tv directly in front of the sofa. With this feature, I can easily angle the tv toward where I’m sitting, making the viewing experience much more comfortable. The Samsung Premium TV I really like is the Samsung The Sero 43″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN43LS05TAFXZC).

  3. I think my family would enjoy the LG NanoCell 65” 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV. My son is a big gamer and I love sports and the colour technology definitely gets my interest. It is my favourite of the three.

  4. What sounds very appealing to me about the Sony premium tvs is the Triluminos Display. I like that it displays more realistic colours and a wider range of brightness than a traditional tv. I’ve seen other tvs with very strange, unnatural colours which is off-putting. So I like that the technology has improved considerably, especially when looking at a big screen tv. Of the Sony Premium TVs, the one I really like is the Sony 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV (XBR55A9G).

  5. Very interested in the SONY Triluminos feature. Would love to have and afford the Sony X950H. I have come to learn that SONY is top of the line for quality.

I have built up my movie collection over the last 10 years and haven’t had a 4K TV yet to check them all out in their highest quality. The NanoCell technology is what I have the most to look forward to. A theater experience at home.

  7. The LG line is exciting, with 33 million+ pixels, The LG 8K TV’s are very appealing. The NANO99 technology with theα9 Gen3 AI Processor 8K and the LG sound sync would make a great audio and visual experience. the Apple Airplay function will be very useful here. The great gaming capability is also important to me to avoid lag and image blurr. Thanks

  8. I like the new Technology offered by Samsung, called Quantum Processor 8K (2020 ver) AI Machine Learning. I’m also a fan of good sound in a TV for the full experience. The fact that the Processor also optimizes sound for each scene, and adjusts brightness to the room’s environment is a great feature. The 2.2.2ch / 60W sound and game enhancer seem like great features. Thanks

  9. My preferred TV would be from the A8H série, both for the great picture OLEG With pixel contrast booster, but also for the attention to sound, too often neglected by other flat screen tv makers. The Surface Audio, 2.2 channels uses the entire screen ! When it comes to speakers, a bigger sound box maxes sense to me! Plus, thé dual subwoofers integrated into the rear of the TV must make a huge difference. Sound is important ! Good job.

  10. I really like the Sony X950H series, the triluminos display is quite intriguing. The picture would be brilliant with all types of video, I like the smart features that would easily integrate into our smart home and lifestyle. All around I love the features.

  33. Samsung QLED TVs use Quantum Dots and with premium models, deep learning AI and upscaling that will analyze every detail of a scene and upscale the picture if the source isn’t actually 4K or 8K.
