Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  1. For the Samung premium TVs:

    a) Samsung’s Ambient Mode sounds like a really unique feature. Having the TV to displays photos or moving images that reflect your lifestyle and your tastes would really enhance the room when the TV is not actively being used by us.

    b) The Samsung TV model that I like is the Samsung 55″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55Q900RBFXZC). I have not seen many 8K TV offerings and this model should future proof us for quite some time.

    a) I like Sony’s TRILUMINOS display technology, having bright and dark scenes feeling more natural, and with vibrant colours that are even more true to life are plus features on any TV that I would be looking for.

    b) The Sony TV model that interests me most is the Sony 55″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV (XBR55A9G), it has a feature set and sizing that would fit perfectly in one of our rooms.

    This is my choice as it uses Quantum Dot technology and Samsung always makes great products

    The NanoCell tech might just be an industry leader for picture.
    The gaming compatibility tech on some models is also a plus.

  27. I like the sound of (pun intended) of Sony Acoustic Surface Audio. It’s always bothered me that to get decent sound you had to invest in external speakers or a soundbar. This sounds like it might just make the sound “good enough” for most people.

  39. What sells me on the LG Gallery series is their beautiful design. I am amazed by how flat they sit against the wall. Unbelievable. I would love for the TV to just blend into the room instead of sticking out like a black box in my mostly white house. Furthermore, I can imagine enjoying getting sports updates without having to even check!

  40. I love how the Sony A8H has such powerful audio capabilities. It makes all the different watching a show or movie. But the reason I like it the most, is that I wouldn’t feel the need to connect additional speakers.     This TV sounds more like an art piece. It sounds like it’ll have amazing picture quality with the 8K and millions pixel display so it’ll enhance anything you’re watching and give you a stunning picture. I like that the 65″ is designed to be ultra thin, 22 millimeters, extra thin so it can mount beautifully flush agr the wall like an art piece.
