When buying a new TV, look for new tech that will last a very long time like that found in Sony’s latest selection of televisions. Most people don’t purchase televisions frequently. We want the few that we do buy, to last a long time. As such, it’s best to choose from a list of the largest most up to date televisions available within your price range. The TV we are giving away in this contest, a Sony BRAVIA XR X95K 75″ 4K UHD HDR Mini-LED Smart Google TV, is likely going to be at the top of that list for many people.
How long should a new TV last
My living room television is very old. I bought it about twenty years ago. I found a good deal at that time on a very thin, forty inch, which at the time seemed huge, 1080p resolution Sony TV and have loved the image quality and performance ever since. In fact, the image seems just as good as it was when I bought it. I paid as much as I could afford on a TV at the time and feel like I got excellent value for my money.
I think that is the real barometer for how long a TV should last. I bought a 4k TV for my mother-in-law about 6 years ago and it stopped working after about 3.5 years. And it was could not be repaired! Obviously that set was a disappointment. It wasn’t a Sony, but I did replace her broken set with a Sony. The best part about this story was that I bought four-year Geek Squad protection, and it returned the full value of the set that broke, which I applied to the new Sony TV.
How to choose the best TV for your needs
Earlier this week, a friend asked for my help selecting a new TV for his home. I brought up the Best Buy online selection of televisions and explained the key factors he should consider, asking a few important questions. We narrowed down his options to a list of about a half-dozen candidates. Importantly, we started with brand: he said that he has always bought Sony and is most familiar with that brand. Apple users tend to stick with apple, Microsoft fans tend to stick with windows tech, Samsung fans stick with Samsung (admittedly I fall into this category for phone tech!) and Sony fans stick with Sony.
The second consideration I brought up with him was TV size. He explained that he measured the space on his wall where the TV will be mounted and didn’t think he had ceiling height for anything bigger than about 75 inches. The considerations we brought up then were between 72 and 78 inches: I suggested he get the biggest set he can accommodate for maximum enjoyment as long as he owns the TV.
Lastly, we talked about the newest technology and screen resolution. I explained that the newest tech is Mini-LED which is credited with producing an image that rivals an OLED screen. I explained how the image is created and the pros and cons of Mini-LED vs OLED. Read this detailed article to learn for yourself. I explained that either choice will be amazing for his home. Which one would you choose if you were him?
The newest tech is the Sony Mini-LED and you have a chance to win one just like those I was suggesting for my friend in this contest. We sent this TV for an honest review. So read that review then return here to enter the contest.

My family would appreciate the viewing angle and resolution.
Wide viewing angle and resolution
I really appreciate the wide viewing angles – we all like to lounge on the couch so being able to see from not directly in front is great. And also just general picture quality – it’s gotta look good from all the angles!
The top two features I look for when buying a TV are picture quality and size. Having a high quality resolution along with a fitting size for the space are the most important features!
the top two features that are important to you when im looking to buy a new TV would have to be price is especially with our current inflation I want a tv that I can get a good price and the second feature would have to be smart tv! I use a lot of streaming services so I’d love a tv that provide these services!
one thing that i really like about this TV is like I had mentioned earlier I was looking for a smart tv and this is it! It gives me the option to steam my favorite shows and movies!
Picture quality and more than 3 HDMI inputs.
Size and price 🙂

Picture quality and screen size
For me viewing angle at 178 degrees is really important. I hate when you have friends over to watch the game and the people sitting on the sides have a sub-optimal viewing experience. From size and viewing angle this seems like a great tv for entertaining. Secondly, I love to play Xbox with my son and daughter and they (my son especially) are obsessed with gaming lag. While it will never compete with a gaming monitor, a 2.1 HDMI port, 8.5ms input lag, 120hz refresh rate and VVR make this a great gaming tv that the whole family can enjoy (except for when I plug in the Nintendo Switch and have to school them all at Mario Kart). Would love to see this tv in our new basement.
Over all quality of the TV ,best viewing picture
ease of setting up; picture quality
Top two features that are important to you when you are looking to buy a new TV: 1) screen size, I want a tv that properly fits the size of my room. 2) quality of the picture. I like clear picture quality.
Top two features would be size of the screen and picture quality.
Picture quality – the Hi res and 4K upscaling.
I find that the two features that are important to me are picture quality/ screen resolution and size of the TV.
Most important is the clarity
I look at having great picture quality and size
picture and sound quality are essential for a great viewing experience.
When I’m checking out TVs I look for the features that will work in a fairly bright environment. A TV needs to have a bright picture and lots of contrast, and it needs to have a wide viewing angle.
I like the Mini-LED feature as it should help with the contrast and give a sharper picture.
The size and the clarity.
picture quality and size
Price and picture quality.
For me it is dependability and ease of use. If it is too complicated I am not going to enjoy it. If it is a good deal financially but is a low quality brand, it is a. waste of money. I dependable good quality TV, like a Sony, is what I like.
In the review article they sold the feature of the mini-LED, something I’d never considered. The Sony name speaks to the quality of the television.

Two things that are important to me when buying a tv are colour/definition quality and smart features.
Price and picture quality
Picture quality
I look out for the picture quality and the smart features the TV has
Picture quality and number of HDMI ports.
Picture quality and price are the top things I look for.
I look for size (has to fit in the cabinet, so 55″ or so) and high resolution.
I believe refresh rate and the picture quality are the most important features.
