Projectors serve a variety of purposes in both your personal and professional life. Whether delivering a presentation, having friends over to watch a basketball game, or simply playing an old Charlie Chaplin movie against the backdrop of a summer evening shindig, these BenQ projectors will help you communicate your message effectively, create a true home theatre for group enjoyment, or set the perfect ambiance for your soirees and get-togethers. Technologically advanced and functionally versatile, keeping a projector on hand will prove to be one of the best tech acquisition decisions you’ve made. But don’t take my word for it. Read on, see for yourself, and enter this contest for a chance to win your own BenQ HT1070A Home Cinema Projector or MW526AE Digital Projector.

Modern BenQ projectors for the home or workplace

You remember those old bulky, noisy, projectors from the past. The kind your 3rd grade teacher would use to show your class the pyramids for a history lesson. Perhaps your boring Aunt Betty used one to display countless albums and home movies of the yearly vacation to who-knows-where. Yeah, you remember those projectors. They were big and clunky, project with poor image quality, and your teacher or aunt always seemed to experience technical difficulties with them while you waited for the tedious session to end. Much like the rest of tech we now enjoy, from smartphones to televisions, projectors have evolved. They are now compact and impressively powerful.

We sent two models in the BenQ line of projectors to a Canadian blogger for honest reviews. The BenQ HT1070A Home Cinema Projector is designed for the home, while the BenQ MW526AE Digital Projector was made for professional use, but the two can be used interchangeably, and will not disappoint in either domain.

Read Darren Blakeborough’s separate reviews of each unit. Darren found that the HT1070A Home Cinema Projector showcases a crisp, clear 1080p HD image, a massive screen size, and awesome colour reproduction thanks to CinematicColor technology.

As for the MW526 Digital Projector, the reviewer was impressed with how lightweight and compact the unit was, the solid 15000:1 contrast ratio, and how vivid text appears on-screen.

Both projectors offer the freedom to customize your screen size anywhere from 60″ to 300″, and feature an array of inputs and outputs, including HDMI. Show off the content you love: connect a streaming device, television signal, computer, and more. Use the built-in speakers or connect to your home theatre system for a full audio experience. Project on a white wall (a light background of almost any kind will do nicely), or add your own projection screen to really enhance the experience.

  6. The Benq Projector with the LG SK5Y 360-Watt 2.1 Channel Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer would be perfect for the ultimate Netflix date.

  7. If I won this projector, I would dedicate a part of my rec room to watch movies on a wall newly painted with screen paint….and get a cool vintage popcorn maker!

  8. I think a projector screen would be a must. What fun this would be to win! Thanks for the chance.

  9. I’d love the projector to be sure out my toddler son can’t break the screen with a rock like he did our Flat Screen Tv! A projector screen would be a lot safer for the multiple Moana reruns stage we’re currently in lol. An iPad just isn’t the same for family movie moments!

  10. I would just love to have the projector screen because I currently do not have one, and I would also love to have the Valencia Piacenza Premium Top Grain 9000 leather power chair as I have a bad back and I need a chair that is able to change positioning, depending on just how long the movie or feature runs.

  11. Popcorn while watching a movie with a projector is a must!!! But some good quality surround sound speakers would be nice too!

  12. OMGOODNESS, this is so cool.

This is so great for at home movie nights, I would definitely get the Vivider (TM) Projection Screen 100″ (portable collapsible one) because I would love the experience to be seamless (not to just project onto a wall or white sheet)!

  13. (Comment as valuable consideration in exchange for entry in contest.)

A higher-wattage microwave to get all those movie night kernels popped.
