Sony has entertainment covered in so many ways. You likely are keenly aware that their televisions are among the best in the world. And Sony headphones are in a class all by themselves, especially when it comes to noise cancellation. Did you know they are equally admired for their home audio components? Read on to learn more about Sony home audio, then enter for a chance to win a Sony A5000 450 Watt sound bar, Sony SW3 subwoofer, and Sony SA-RS3S speaker pair prize.
Sony delivers sound all around with 360 spatial sound mapping
Sony audio components synergistically contribute to a fuller listening experience. I don’t mean louder, I mean an experience that transforms the standard two dimensional experience of watching a movie or concert into a whole room immersive event. The prize we are giving away in this contest is a great example of Sony audio innovation. It all begins with an amazing HT-A5000 sound bar. On its own, the sound bar will astound you: it’s packed with up-firing speakers, side tweeters, and subwoofer for a 5.1.2 channel package that neatly fits below your television. On its own, it drives heart pounding rock & roll or mind mellowing jazz throughout your room, surrounding you with balanced full-range sound. On its own, it will make you feel that time has become irrelevant.
Add in a couple more components, the SW3 subwoofer for deeper bass, and the SA-RS3S back channel speakers, and get Sony’s 360 spatial sound mapping to awaken your audio senses to the possibilities of listening nirvana. Our ears have been waiting, craving for this. Read Jason Gorber’s honest review to learn his objective opinion: he said, the combination of sound bar and speakers that we are giving away in this contest, “may be the best you can buy.” We sent this system to Jason and now it’s ready for us to give away in this amazing contest.
Will you turn it loud or keep it mellow
Do you have a debate in your home about how loud the TV should be? Or how loud the music should be? I have to admit, I like it loud more often than my wife. However, I also like to hear nuance. Sometimes, when my wife asks me to turn down the volume, I get more out of the music, more of the nuance of the music, and am transported more into my happy place than I had been before turning it down.
I would love to test out this system to see if the music I thought I liked best at full volume, might become more pleasurable due to Sony’s 360 spatial sound mapping. Maybe I don’t need to watch 007 or listen to Dark Side of the Moon at 100 db anymore. How about you? What would you want to try listening to using this system to see if you hear it better at a different volume than before? Enter this contest and you might get to win the chance to find out.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways.
- In a comment below, tell us what movie or musical artist you would like to hear through the Sony audio system, and let us know if you’d play it really loud, really softly, or somewhere in between and why.
- For up to three (3) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win a great prize from the Best Buy Blog’s Sony sound bar contest; include the hashtag #BestBuyContest, so we can find your post, and include a picture of the prize like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below, on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there. Add one comment below for each social media channel for up to 3 contest entries.

I’d love to see/hear Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge, and his new movie Elvis, through the Sony audio system. I’d play them really loud because great music deserves to be played loud.
Pink Floyd, exactly at mid-range volume
I would blast AC/DC rock n roll ain’t noise pollution! Sweet system! Thanks for the chance to win
I would love to hear Ella Fitzgerald and I would not play it at medium sound range to celebrate this amazing voice which deemed her the titles of “First Lady of Song ” and “Queen of Jazz”.
I will be BLARING LCD Soundsystem and dancing up a storm!
Impressive System! I would like to watch the movie Dune on this system and I would turn it up really LOUD! Great soundtrack and scrore that would sound amazing on this turned up loud!
watch an awesome movie with it
Love to hear some old school Pink Floyd through this system. It wouldn’t be quiet but not so loud all the pictures fall off the walls LOL!
I would love to watch David Lynch’s 1984 version of Dune. Great soundtrack.
I’d play some Brasilian music by Sue Jorge
Music – Bon Jovi, It’s My Life & Louis Armstrong, It’s a Wonderful World…(hey, I’m diverse!)
Movie – Top Gun
Game – Halo (all/any of them)
Definitely Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell for me.
I would watch the terribly cheesy Flash Gordon from the 80’s loudly with the Queen soundtrack! 🙂
Country Music, loud
I would love to hear the movie, Top Gun, through this audio system. Really loud, of course, for the music and the flight scenes.
I would play Banks – Contaminated. It has such an amazing haunting sound with great bass. I’d BLARE IT beacuse how else would you listen to one of your favorite songs. It’s unfortunate that my Amazon Echo does not do any music justice. This would be an AMAZING prize to make music sound good again.
why our old buddy willie nelson-his new songs are easy listening so just a bit on the louder side!

The system looks great I would love to have it to watch terminator 2 among other great movies or listen to nirvana unplugged album
i would watch every space/alien movie i have on medium. I have thin walls sadly. But i still want to hear all the nuances
All-time favourite movie is Platoon and of course, I would crank that baby up. Hmm, I might feel a bit guilty though because of the neighbours……
I’d play Enya, softly. I feel like relaxing all the stress away.
I’d like to watch Indian Jones through the Sony audio system and listen to my Spotify playlists. The movie would be played somewhere between so that I could hear anyone sneaking up on me but the music would be really loud because I sing along…. loud to drown out the mistaken words and off key notes!!!
Too many to chose from whether it is a movie or just music. Now I would play it more on the soft side, no matter if it is a movie or music.
I would play Lord of The Rings, with its superb audio. This would be at medium level so as not to damage any hearing.
Beatles on medium
I would play a live recorded video of one of Sting’s concerts and listen to it loudly so i can close my eyes and imagine i’m sitting in the front row centre seat!
I’d love to hear Gerry Mulligan!
It would be Nathaniel Rateliff and LOUD!!!
The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin – somewhere in between, for good balance, just like the choir.
I would put on a live show by Elbow, one of my favourite bands, and crank it to the max!
Wow , tough question …. sooooo many amazing artists. I`m sure with this system , you will be blown away regardless of your choice .
listen to my music –
I would listen to all my favourite music
I would watch Saving Private Ryan at a moderate level… after all I don’t need the neighbours complaining.
I will listen to The Complete Village Vanguard Sessions 3 CD album by The Bill Evans Trio. It will be at a decent volume, loud enough to create the illusion of being at the jazz club at the time of the performances.
I would throw in AC/DC, and get a little Thunderstruck happening as loud as inhumanly possible. It’s the only way to listen to the rebels!
I would listen to my favorite pop music
Maybe I would play Candyman, and yes, it would be played loudly. Loudly because if you locate the subs or central speakers behind or under the entertainment sofa (if that is what you sit on), you can feel the moments, not just hear them, and that is a real hoot in horror flicks.
I would listen to Michael Buble.
James Brown played really loudly as it should be.
i would love to watch in the heights and turn it up loud !!!!!
I would listen to Smoky Greenwell and play it loud.
Star Wars
