So many people have Sony on their wishlist at Christmas time. I’m surprised no one has invented a holiday song related to finding Sony under the tree on Christmas morning. Holiday songs are all about traditions we cherish and repeat and I think Sony has become part of many people’s holiday tradition. Don’t we all have a Sony holiday memory? I know I do.

A long, long time ago, I was dying for a portable cassette player: and of course Sony was “the brand” with their Walkman line. There aren’t many gifts from my past that I remember opening, but I can recall unwrapping that bright yellow Walkman Sport like the one shown here—vividly remember!

My first thin LED big screen TV was, and still is, a Sony. I’ve had it for over 13 years now and still love the picture quality. When it finally bids me farewell, the Sony XBR55A8G that we are giving away in this contest would be a fantastic replacement. I sent one of these to Shelly to review and she absolutely loved it for watching the newest movies and even for gaming. The OLED screen really has to be seen to be believed—it is that amazing!   25. My favorite Sony Christmas memory was back in 2008, when my brother & I were gifted a PS3 bundle with Metal Gear Solid 4 & Gran Turismo. Now that we have grown up and live in different countries, we keep in touch by making time to play online with each other – but now on PS4’s.

  27. I’d love to add a Sony soundbar to the holidays, not only would it be great for the mock fire coming from the TV, but great to blast xmas songs!

    As for my fav memory. My parents surprised me and my sister with a PS2 when we were little. I got GTA 3, she got Merry Kate and Ashley: License to Drive. I totally played her game more.

      We actually had one not too long ago that meet a tragic fate with a flying smartphone so..

      I can still remember opening my PS1 on Christmas Eve, I still have it with me & play Crash from time to time, I also saved some money from my first job for a PSP, that device was ahead of the game at the time!
