Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

  4. R2D2 app enabled Droid. R2D2 has always been my favourite character with his sassy bips and beeps. He is always bringing C3PO into new situations, but is always there when you need him with a light saber or an electric shock. Watching Star Wars with R2D2 for the first time with my four year old would be amazing!

  6. The Sphero R2-D2 app enabled droid… for so many reasons. I fell in love with the droids from the first moment they appeared on screen in A New Hope. As a kid, I so wanted to understand what R2 was saying but I never really figured it out (although, he exudes so much emotion with those beeps). I have several R2-D2 and BB8 toys but this one would likely be the highlight of my collection. I also so badly want to make my sphero BB8 interact with R2-D2.

  14. being a single dad it would be nice to have someone to decompress to when the day ends. I feel like the Sphero R2-D2 App Enabled Droid and I would be able to do that. He could beep out the times when the stories get colourful in their language. But most importantly he’d listen. Just listen. In the mornings when I’m trying to get my kid ready for school he wouldn’t judge me for the bowl of sugary cereal I give instead of making the breakfasts you see the kids on the TV get, unless this app has an eggs and bacon setting. I’d give him some good runs up and down the apartment hallway. It wouldn’t be one sided. Plus, my son always wanted a brother… or sister… R2 could be both?

  17. I am sad honestly, I have to pick just one. Being a Star Wars fan since 1977 and loving everything and single moment about Star Wars especially the smart ass robot R2-D2 and BB8. Not a single item in that list would not blow my mind and make me feel like a kid again. However if I had to pick just one it have to be Little Bits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit as I have a collection of R2-D2’s.

My favourite product from the winning items is the “Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon” because it is such a realistic representatiin of the lightsaber Rey uses as Luke once did making it such an engaging product that will make the virtual reality feel more real then ever. I like it because I have always wanted this lightsaber and want to fight with it in a virtual/realistic way like never before!

  41. Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon is my favorite of the bunch – VR apps are neat, but getting to pretend to do lightsaber training while actually technically doing lightsaber training? awesome! Way better than when we used to pretend when we were kids!

  43. My favourite toy is the Sphero BB8 app-enabled Droid. I love BB8 and have wanted this since it came out, but have not been able to afford it. I’ve watched so many video reviews of this toy and everything looks amazing! It’s like having a best friend in a box! <3

  46. Love the Lenova Jedi Challenge! I love the interactive play that will allow you to challenge all the character from Star Wars. This will keep people off the couch and moving around!!!!

  49. The SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID is my favorite. i love all Star Wars movies and charaters but the originals were my teen obsession, this would be a cool toy to own
