Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

  1. UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot would get my vote, i always thought the storm troopers look pretty cool at least there armor, not there marksmen skills.

  2. It would have to be the BB8 V-Tech watch, or to be honest with you, anything BB8 as that is my wife’s favorite character and in order to make my life happy, she must be happy.

  3. My favorite is the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges, because me and my girlfreind are obsessed with the franchise and want to pretend we are Jedis.

  4. I think my older daughter would love the droid kit as she likes to tinker around stuff and my younger daughter would get a kick at the app enabled droids! Especially BB8 as she thinks it’s super cute.

  6. My favourite is the Sphero R2D2 Droid as I tried it at the store and it’s so cute! It even does the move when it got electrocuted and fell down with the noise!

Omg being a huge star wars fan how can you pick a favourite, I think the speeder bike drone would slightly stand out I’ve seen a while back before these drones were created that a guy made his own speeder bike drone out of drone parts and a bike toy combined them and it was the coolest thing for sure the video is still kicking around maybe they got their inspiration to make those drones from his video

  12. JEDI CHALLENGES VR HEADSET . . . Virtually being able to train as a Jedi Master without using an empty Christmas paper roll would be AMAZING!!

  13. My favourite is the Sphero Star Wars BB-9E App-Enabled Droid. As much as I love the other spheros, this one just looks so cool and my brother will love to play with it!

  15. My favourite is the Propel Star Wars TIE Fighter Advanced Battling Quadcopter Drone. With the rise of drone related hobbies, it would be awesome to have star wars battle simulations or races with these drones, an awesome way to bring part of the fantastic world into reality.

  18. I would love the Littlebits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit…R2D2 has always been one of my favourite characters from back when I was young and watching the original trilogy with my Dad. This would be amazing to build with my daughter and start a whole new generation of love for Star Wars, space exploration and wonder.

  19. #R2D2 for the win. Behind every successful hero is a loyal, resourceful, and clever companion / assistant / character foil. R2D2 is the perfect embodiment of this figure and he doesn’t even speak human.

  32. Star wars bb8 RC! I love how smooth those things are, and the multiple axis is fun, it’s like a rolling bobble head, so awesome and entertaining, have to use it around the cat for fun lol!

  33. The Sphero BB-8 is my favourite toy. It is a perfect scaled down version of him. It’s easy to use and the feature in the app where you can have it watch the movie with you and react to the scenes is pretty cool. If the R2-D2 is half as cool as the BB-8 then I’ll probably getting that one too.

  34. Definitely the LENOVO STAR WARS: JEDI CHALLENGES is the one that I am looking for just for the sheer fun factor of having a VR experience in the Star Wars setting! That and I’m sure my kids would get a kick out it as well!

    I love being creative and making things from scratch. It helps get my creative juices going and I love seeing what I was able to accomplish on my own!

  37. My favorite by far is Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid. It’s like having a smart pet that always listens and doesn’t have accidents! And bb8 is just plain awesome 🙂

  38. It’s really hard to choose, but I think the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon, would likely be my favourite; as it would bring me endless pleasure to watch my 41 year old Star Wars fanatic partner play with it for hours on end, and then have him teach me.

    Our first Christmas together, I gifted him the entire Star Wars movie library on Blu Ray (from Best Buy!). He has a few 1/6th figures, jigsaw puzzles, trivia books, and when we have the room, a life size replica Han Solo in carbonite will be added to our extensive collection…but until that happens, I would be the best girlfriend ever, if I won either of these amazing prize packs for him!!

  39. My kids would love the Star Wars BB8 RC! They’re still a bit for the other toys, but would have a blast controlling BB8!

  40. The new Spero BB-9E is my fav new Star Wars toy because it looks awesome and I like the idea of the training platform that it comes with. I have the BB8 version so this would be a great addition to my collection and it will be a great droid to operate in sure.
