I’m amazed at some of the creative applications people have found for Philips Hue. They installed light strips under counters and furniture for cool, colourful effects. They’ve added Philips Hue outdoors for safety, and for fun during festive days: go orange at the end of October, red and green in December!

People have also taken advantage of how other smart tech “plays nice” with Philips Hue. So you can control your lights using any smartphone since it works with Android and Apple products, or control with your voice using Google home or Amazon Echo—as I wish all tech was!

Importantly, Philips Hue is not just a colourful add-on to your existing “normal lighting.” In fact, you may be surprised that most of those ordinary lights in your home can be replaced with smart, multi-functional Philips Hue lights. This Philips Hue lights contest will give 4 lucky winners the opportunity to explore how Philips Hue can transform their home. Each winner will a prize package that includes a selection of 4 new Philips Hue lights for their home. The prizes include wall lights, ceiling light, table lights—there’s even an outdoor light strip. Some of the lights enable you to choose from a whole rainbow of colours; others are designed for soft or bright illumination. And there are a variety of styles in the prize list, including a Philips Hue Integrated LED Smart Wall Mirror.

  1. I already have a few hue lights in my home and I absolutely love them. I have a few A19 colour bulbs and some A19 bulbs but my favourite ones are the BR30 bulbs. They would be awesome for my kitchen. The light strips, I always thought, were neat and would be handy in the ensuite for relaxing baths.

  4. Love the Philip hue light mirror. Excellent idea with innovative ideas. I would love one of these at the entrance of my door with a motion sensor. Every time I pass by the motion, this lights to remind my family and I to check out our look before we head out.

  7. I personally like the “Philips Hue Ascend White/Colour Ambiance Smart Table Lamp.” I would put it either on my work desk or on my nightstand.

  11. The new play lights are probably my new favorite. Old favorite was the lightstrip but the play looks more flexible. I would put it on my study desk. It might motivate me to study more lol

  16. I’ve been seriously eyeing the light strips to go under my kitchen cabinets in order to provide better lighting while working in there, and better mood lighting when not.

  18. The Philips Hue Lily outdoor spotlight set would be ideal as accent lighting for my three-seasons lanai. There would be one spotlight on each of the three pillars, aimed at the cedar plank ceiling. Also, the Philips Hue outdoor light strip would be perfect for downlighting. These devices would be set up with Living Scenes from Hue Labs, which would result in some seriously cool mood lighting.

  20. My favorite lights are still the regular A19 colour bulbs. We use them wherever we can and are great for holiday ambience.

  26. I would love to have a Philips Hue White Ambiance Fair Dimmable LED Smart Suspension Fixture – Aluminium in my kitchen over my our family’s kitchen table. I think it will add sophistication to atmosphere in the kitchen.

  43. Already have some Phillip hue lights. I love em, they are great certainly the multicolor for my child’s room. This light would finish my set.
