Philips shavers and toothbrushes motivate us to care for ourselves. I am a huge advocate of their products: I’ve used Philips shavers my whole adult life. And for the past few years I’ve had cleaner, healthier teeth thanks to my Philips electric toothbrush. The benefits go well beyond looking better too. Enter this contest and if you win you too will understand why I never want to be without Philips.

Discover the importance of “me time” with Philips

How much time in a day to you set aside for personal care? I know some people do a better job at this than others; and, circumstance may have changed recently for many people, so they aren’t doing things like haircuts and dental visits as often. That should make setting some time for yourself each day even more important.

Many guys lately, me included, have been letting their facial hair grow lately. I don’t mind having a beard; I do mind when it is unkempt. With a Philips shaver or trimmer trimming and shaping your look would do more than just make you happier with your appearance. Putting yourself first for a few minutes each day will make you an overall happier, healthier person.

Finding personal time each day is easier with personal care tools

We all need to invest some time each day on ourselves to stay healthy and happy. One great thing about the new Philips electric toothbrushes is they tell you when you’ve brushed enough. Most people who get one learn immediately that they had not been taking enough time for oral hygiene. I realized very quickly after starting to use my Philips toothbrush that my whole mouth felt better and looked better as a result.

For this contest, I want you to think about how much time each day on average you actually spend on taking care of yourself. Then imaging if you won a prize in this contest and how using it for a few minutes each day might benefit you.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy but you can only enter once. In a comment below, tell us how many minutes on average in a given day you spend on yourself and do you think this is enough, too little, or too much.

  1. I spend about 10-15 minutes everyday, and every few days about 30-45 minutes. I’d love to ‘shave’ some time off my morning routine. Even if it’s just a few minutes.

  2. I would say I spend a couple hours on myself for personal care at the most. Some days less…

  3. 30- 40 minutes for a work out other then that my time is taking care of three beautiful children! But it’s so worth it

  4. I usually did 30 minutes on treadmill or yoga at home everyday …with taking care three kids ages 5 and up ,I do need some work out to relax my stress 🙂

  5. I do about 15 minutes a morning. I think sometimes it should be longer some days. It would be nice to be able to shave faster.

  6. I spend between 10-15 minutes depending on how long my kids let me and how strangely my hair dried!

  7. Maybe 15 to 20 minutes, which is not usually enough. I am definitely not a morning person! Will be glad to get a haircut when this social ban is lifted!

  8. Probably about 30 minutes for a regular day, including showering and doing my hair quickly. I would definitely love to have more time.

  9. I spend between 10 and 20 minutes per day on myself, depending on whether I am washing my hair or not. I am very low maintenance.

    • *Addendum to my comment : I forgot to say that I think that this is enough time for me usually.

  10. I spend about 30-40 minutes. Totally not enough as I get interrupted by my little munchkins every 3 minutes!

  11. I spend around 30-45 minutes which I think is a fair amount to get done everything that I need to do.

  12. I’m pretty low maintenance, even more so these days. I generally spend about 15-20 minutes which is enough to get ‘er done.

  13. right now, I’m spending about 10-15minutes on myself as I’m too busy homeschooling, cooking & taking care of everyone else. It will get better!

  14. I spend about half an hour for each day from beginning to end on my self. While it is more than other’s it could be better and I could take better care of myself.

  15. I spend about 15 to 20 minutes on myself. I could probably use a little more time on my exercise and physical activities.

  16. My husband has a terminal brain tumour so I do all of his care. It would amount to 4 hours a day ir perhaps more. A good shaver would come in handy or even a good toothbrush. The time I spend on me is about 20 min for quick shower, brush teeth and get dressed. Always busy. No, I do not spend enough time for myself.

  17. It takes maybe 5 minutes to brush teeth and hair, another 10 to wash and get dressed.. So on a good day, 15 minutes.

  18. My Husband Spends about 30 minutes on His upkeep Daily. Unless He is on road Trucking, then it’s less. I think He spends enough time on His appearance. He doesn’t overdue it

  19. Maybe 15-20 minutes a day; showering, grooming. This is adequate as I have stopped applying makeup; not really needed, as I am social distancing and having groceries delivered. Just applying sunscreen when I walk our dog.

  20. My Husband spends 20 mins at least shaving with a straight edge razor when he works it twice a day Me it depends on what i am doing that day if I stay home not much!

    • 20-25 mins tops of me time. Showering/grooming is my average time.
It’s enough if I’m not in a hurry to go anywhere important. If I’m going out, I need extra time so at least 45 mins.

  21. I spend about 15 min. That seems like the right amount of time to me. I am low maintenance.

    • I spend maybe an hour including showering. It’s not enough and I never have the right products.

  22. I maybe spend 20 minutes most days. Usually enough but one day soon will have to spend extra to cut my hair if salons don’t open soon!

  23. Depends on what you consider me time. My husband and I are retired so all time is me time, Sometimes that includes hard work in and around the house which is stuff we enjoy. Even in isolation life is pretty darn good. Thanks for the chance to win my hubby a new grooming tool

  24. Time spent on myself? Maybe ten minutes for a shower. Then again most of the time my dog barges in on me…. i think I need to start locking the door.

  25. Right now I spend about 25 min on myself but I desperately need a haircut so not a lot of time is being spent on my hair!

  26. I spent 10 minutes everyday on myself for grooming.i take a shower the night before so I think 10 minutes is not bad
