What’s it like to combine a Fitbit smartwatch or tracker with a desire for a healthy lifestyle? Perhaps you have a Fitbit and know the answer from personal experience. Perhaps you have always wanted a Fitbit so you could find out for yourself how much a difference a Fitbit will make for you. Perhaps you just read our new article about Fitbit and now you want to give one to your loved ones. This contest is for everyone who want to become more aware of their bodies and their fitness; enter this contest and you might win a new Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker with GPS, heart rate monitor, and many other amazing features!

Where should you start if you want to become more healthy

Many people want to live healthier but don’t know how to start. Perhaps you did start but couldn’t stay motivated day in and day out. I’m not going to tell you to get out there and train for a marathon. I will suggest before making a change to your lifestyle, get a proper assessment from your doctor. This is Canada after all and part of the benefits of our healthcare system is we can be proactive without spending a fortune.

And on the topic of being proactive, purchasing a Fitbit is a low-cost proactive way to advance your healthy lifestyle goals. Have you seen gym membership costs lately? Imagine having the benefits of a personalized fitness program right on your wrist. Now also imagine that included with that is a minute by minute record of every activity you do from taking a walk to mowing the lawn. It also records your heart rate! Perhaps the order of operations should be: get a Fitbit, have it record your heart rate for a few days, then visit the doctor and show him that data to help him understand how fit you are before you start exercising!

Stay motivate and stay on track with new features in the Fitbit app

What happens when you wear a Fitbit? Well, at first you might start to take a few extra steps in a day. Then you might set meaningful goals. Incrementally you see progress. It’s not magic; you still must do the work. But you’ll be aware of how much that work is paying off!

New features keep getting added to the Fitbit app too. For example, recently they added Active Zone Minutes which is designed to help you get the 150 minutes of exercise (or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise) each week recommended by the World Health Organization. To get Active Zone Minutes your heart rate needs to go up. How much? Leave that to the Fitbit on your wrist to calculate. It monitors every movement you make, whether it’s a quick vacuuming around the home or a jog around the block. It all adds up and you know how much it’s adding up right in the Fitbit app.

Learn more about Fitbit and the Fitbit app from this recent feature article. You’ll also learn about Fitbit Premium which gives you access to hundreds of workout videos designed to help you get the most from your Fitbit. 1. I received the charge 2 as s gift 2 years ago. I liked it. It helped me learn about my health and eating habits. I started on my journey for weight loss and towards a healthier life. It definitely helped. Last year I upgraded to the Charge 3. I have been walking now for sometime and would like to track more of my health and heart rate. The charge 4 has everything. I am excited about the GPS feature. Overall the Fitbit has changed my life. I’m down over 50 pounds and keeping it of. More to go.
    Thank you.

  2. I don’t own a fitbit but the fitbit charger 4 would be perfect for keeping track of heart rate, sleep pattern to maintain good health. I would be able to keep track of my activities with a fitbit.

  7. Charge 4 model sounds good as it uses your heart rate to measure the intensity of your activity–always curious to know how hard I am really working.

  8. This would be great. We bought a Fitbit blaze second hand but it will not charge. Even tied a new charger. This would be great to win to keep track of my fitness

  10. My favourite is the Fitbit Charge 4 – it would be perfect to track my steps and heart activity (my doctor would be happy with the monitoring!!)

  11. My current device is the Fitbit charge 3. Having had several of the Fitbit versions previously, I love the charge 3 based on the detailed insights they give on sleep, steps and exercise. I didn’t want a watch with a ton of features so the fitbits charge 3 having all the basics down and being very user friendly is something very in tune with my needs and style.

  12. I don’t have a FITBIT but it is on my wish list. This would be great to win! The GPS function is great!

  13. The Fitbit Charge 4 is my favourite because of the built-in GPS. Makes hiking more fun when you can track your route, pace and distance.

  14. I really like the Fitbit Charge 4 Fitness Tracker as it has a Heart Rate monitor and built-in GPS. I am active in walking my dogs so this would help me a lot. Also I think being able to track my sleep patterns will also help me. Thanks for this chance.

  16. I am active and run often in a week but what I am always curious about is my sleep habits, I think I am up a few times a night and all those trips up and down the stairs or walking the dog, I would love to track all of it.

  17. this is my fave – Fitbit Versa 2 Special Ed 40mm Smartwatch w Amazon Alexa & Heart Rate Tracking – Smoke Woven – I like that it has Alexa and health tracking features

  18. The Fitbit Charge 4 sounds great! Gps, sleep monitoring, and the new active zone all interest me!

  19. FitBit Charge series watches for smart notifications PLUS killer battery life! The GPS on the Charge 4 is a welcome addition!

  20. Fitbit 4 has the most accurate data on fitness amongst all their devices. I love the fitbit product because of the motivation, accurate data & style statement that complements my life style of staying fit.

  21. I’ve been using Fitbit for 3 years now, first the Charge HR, then Charge 2, and now Alta HR. Of the 3, I enjoy the Alta HR the most! I appreciate its slimmer profile, even though it doesn’t have quite the same amount of features the Charge 2 has. It has the ones I use most (sleep tracking, exercise tracking). However, it’s recently been very glitchy and keeps turning off, so winning this Charge 4 would be perfect timing!

  22. I love it because it tracks my sleep patterns. Would be great to see how I sleep at night and what I can do to improve.
