Where in your home do you use the internet

Is there anyplace in your home where you do not use the internet? I read a survey recently that said over 65% of respondents admitted to using their phones while on the toilet. You might not be gaming in there, but you likely use the internet in many places in your home. With a mesh router, you will get the same strong internet signal in the kitchen, in the living room, in all of the bedroom and, yes, even in the bathroom.

I admit, during NFL season, I have been known to soak in the tub while watching a game! I have multiple routers in my home to ensure I get a strong signal. The router we are giving away in this contest comes with two routers that work together to boost the wireless signal throughout your home. Gamers get unique functions that optimize game traffic.

How do you learn about the newest technology available for your home

Most people in Canada probably don’t even know that router technology keeps improving. It’s hard to keep up with the changes and improvement in all different kinds of technology including laptops, routers … even small appliances. Best Buy’s website has a latest & greatest page where you will only see the newest and best technology.

The blog too has a section that presents reviews and announcements about new products you can find at Best Buy. You can click on the “Latest and Greatest Tech” link on the right side of any article on the blog. If you click on it now you’ll find the review of the ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System.  I suggest you read that review than return here for a chance to win that sample that was reviewed.

  1. Interesting question – we’re mobile, so we use the internet in pretty much every room in the house. Home offices, family room, living room, bedrooms.. 9 or 10 rooms easily, excepting perhaps just the laundry room right now, even if some rooms are higher traffic. Signal is pretty good through most of the house but gets the occasionally hiccup in the bedrooms that are farthest from the router – and the backyard (which we sometimes use in summer!)

  2. I use it in all my rooms (9 total), it is especially weak in the living room, where I actually need it the most.

  3. I use the internet in four rooms. My upstair den has the weakest internet. it house a lot of technology.

  4. I use the internet in 5 rooms in the house. It seems weak in the outer corner of my upstairs bedroom.

  5. Used throughout the house with Google Homes, smart TVs, and inside with some baby monitors, etc.. Baby monitors does lose some connection outside the house but not bad…. The office is in the basement and surrounded by concrete foundation. Connection is poor there.

  6. We use internet in living room and bedroom, but for some reason, my computer in living room get worst connection !

  7. We use internet throughout the entire house, but the most usage is in 4 rooms.

Our house is L-shaped which means we have to put our wifi router in the middle to avoid having the signal go through two outside walls to reach from one side to the other. This makes the outer ends of the L have a slower connection. Those areas are also where we mainly use the internet.

  8. Mainly 5-6 or six rooms – the 2nd floor could use a bit of a boost. Still have a connection but weaker than the rest of the house.

  9. I use it in 4 rooms. The weakest area for wifi is my washroom while I’m using the toilet! I usually have to resort to using my phone’s data.

    • We live in a 4 level townhome and need wifi in 5 different rooms. Our wifi seems really weak on the top floor and often cuts out.

  10. 8 rooms, but the concrete walls and floors hinder the signal. The kitchen, around the microwave oven is particularly bad.

  11. 4 rooms, bedrooms seem worse, Like the idea of this router for “whole home coverage”. Very appealing!

  12. We have Three Bedrooms and I would say the area that would be the weakest would be in one of the bedrooms.
