Intel Gaming Week features some of the top names in PC gaming including MSI and Dell (who supplied the prizes for this contest). Read on to learn more about Intel’s most advanced processors, including Intel’s 12th Gen processors released this year. Then enter for your chance to win one of the two amazing laptops we are giving away.

Step up your gaming and leap ahead of the competition

Last year Intel released the amazing 11th Gen H Series processors bringing desktop calibre performance to laptops. Intel called it, “Desktop power for any desk” because Intel-powered laptops have evolved to deliver comparable performance of a bulky desktop so you can play high resolution, maximum frame rate games anytime and anywhere.

This year Intel announced an evolutionary leap in computing with their 12th Gen series of processors. We covered the main features of this announcement in an article on the blog at the beginning of this year. Gamers will get huge performance improvements thanks to the new hybrid architecture. The 12th Gen series mobile processors feature up to 6 Performance cores (P-cores) optimized for maximum responsiveness, and up to 8 Efficient cores (E-cores) optimized for threaded workloads and background tasks. Power gamers will be able to overclock both sets of cores to get faster performance than ever before.

Built for the next generation of gaming

Obviously, a gaming laptop is used for much more than just gaming. The ability for a laptop to keep gaming performance at maximum intensity while also performing complex background tasks is becoming more and more important. Many games require a steady connection to the internet during a game, for competing and for communicating with team mates in other cities; for downloading game components and add-ons; and more.

One of the most demanding auxiliary tasks that gamers do is live streaming or live recording for later playback of their gameplay. There are many people already streaming on Twitch and YouTube, and most are not able to stand out. The fact is, many gamers don’t have a machine powerful enough to keep their gaming at a peak level while they stream: the demands of streaming can dramatically impact the quality and consistency of gameplay, and thereby affect how engage their audience is. Imagine the challenges for a laptop to try to keep up with the complexities of a battle, the graphic demands and more, while at the same time capturing the action and sharing it over the internet. 12th Gen Intel® CoreTM powered laptops were built so you get the best of both worlds: the best gaming laptop and the best multitasking laptop ever created. Streaming with a laptop like this may be just what you need to stand out from the crowd.

If you already stream your gameplay, do you post on a social site like YouTube or Twitch or just for fun (you can put your channel link here for some free advertising if you wish).
  2. For up to three (3) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win a Dell or MSI laptop from the Best Buy Blog’s Intel Gaming days contest; include the hashtag #BestBuyContest, so we can find your post, and include a picture of the prize like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below, on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there. Add one comment below for each social media channel for up to 3 contest entries.

  1. I would stream for fun with the MSI GS66 Stealth 15.6″ Gaming Laptop because it seems this laptop could handle both the game and streaming application at the same time.

  2. I would not stream because while I like to play for fun, not into sharing how well (or not well) I do.

  3. I don’t stream, but I would consider it. The reason being is to show people how terrible I am while forcing myself to get better. It would be a journey.

  4. My daughter would probably stream, she just posts vids to her YouTube channel now. Our system is chuggin along, doesn’t have anywhere near the processing and memory of the Dell 15.6! She would go ballistic if she could play on this laptop!!!

  5. I have thought about streaming my gameplay and I think having a new gaming laptop would give me the equipment I would need to do so!

  6. I am not a top notch player so it is not good for me to play online, but I will however post my lousy performances on YouTube.

  7. I probably wouldn’t just because gaming is my way of and disconnecting into my own world after being “connected” all day. It’s my down time : ) lol

  8. I would love to stream my gameplay if I won one of these laptops, as I have always wanted to stream, but never had a strong enough computer to do so! Digital Art and Gaming are my favourite hobbies and I could stream both on a laptop like these! The contest even ends on my birthday, it would be a nice shock to win!

  9. I’m more into flight simulators rather then fps which I suck at. Would still love on of these laptops though.

  10. I am only a beginning player so no I would not stream my play until I became an excellent player. Would not want all the big gamers to laugh at my lousy play

  11. I posted on twitter about the contest @leisamclain and included a photo
    thanks for the chance

  12. This would be amazing to win for my son who is graduating this year ! He loves gaming! My son would definatly use the stream if he had it

  13. I wouldn’t stream my gameplay if I had one of the new laptops because I’m just a casual gamer.
