One of the most personal technologies has to be the ereader, like those offered by Kobo. I realize that some of them can surf the web and view multimedia, but for me, they are made for reading books. They are perfectly designed for that one simple task. They are lightweight, with a display that is easy on the eyes in daylight, or at night, and they easily fit in one hand. Why do I love Kobo eReaders so much

Let me tell you a little story, a true story. Once upon a time I had a Kobo ereader, a gift from my children, and I used it all the time. I read a huge assortment of novels on my cherished Kobo: mysteries, historical fiction, classics, trashy pop fiction, non-fiction and more. My brain was filled with great characters and great stories. I took my Kobo everywhere: on cruises in the Caribbean, on flights to Europe, and even back and forth in my car daily so that at any moment I could take a few minutes’ break, just me and my Kobo.

Then tragedy struck: one evening while rushing to take groceries into the house to make dinner, I forgot my Kobo in the car. Wouldn’t you know it, a thief broke into my car and stole it. I was shattered! End of story. However, I still feel the loss. You never know how much you love something until it’s gone.

  10. I love Kobo ereaders…. my Dad bought me my first one as he had one and loved it…. he passed away 5 years ago and now it is just a good memory that he got me started…..I will keep it up!!!

  12. I carry my Kobo everywhere with me. As a lifelong reader, it was hard at first for me to make the move from “real books” to an e-reader. I thought reading from a screen would change my enjoyment of the experience. But the ability to carry multiple books in such a small package is really useful, I love that I can read at night with the back lit screen and the e-ink replicates reading a solid book. Combined with my library card, my Kobo gives me to access to all sorts of realities.

  15. Actually I don’t have one but my friend does and he has all positives about it… lightweight, easy to read, stores hundreds of books, good for traveling by plane on business trips or road trips. I’m looking into one for my wife so I thought I’d enter this contest. She loves to read her fifty shades of grey novels, ghost girl and many more titles. Don’t tell her this but it would be great so she doesn’t interrupt me while watching sports. See it’s something for everyone to enjoy 😉

  18. I love how portable the Kobo ereaders are! I’m on my second and I love that I can throw it easily into my purse, my carry-on or even hold it in my hand! It is easy to read in all light and it stores oodles of books!

  19. Kobos are light, and easy to hold and read from. I always find that my iPad is just not as comfortable as a Kobo for reading books.

  32. I love the battery life. Don’t have to worry about charging it, EVER!!! Well not quite, but several weeks between charges is phenomenal.

  37. I get to travel quite a bit for work, but there’s nothing worse than being stuck in an airport or on a plane that’s delayed. The Kobo is easy to pack, take out of a carry-on to catch a couple pages, and then easy to toss back in when the plane is boarding.
