One of the most personal technologies has to be the ereader, like those offered by Kobo. I realize that some of them can surf the web and view multimedia, but for me, they are made for reading books. They are perfectly designed for that one simple task. They are lightweight, with a display that is easy on the eyes in daylight, or at night, and they easily fit in one hand. Why do I love Kobo eReaders so much

Let me tell you a little story, a true story. Once upon a time I had a Kobo ereader, a gift from my children, and I used it all the time. I read a huge assortment of novels on my cherished Kobo: mysteries, historical fiction, classics, trashy pop fiction, non-fiction and more. My brain was filled with great characters and great stories. I took my Kobo everywhere: on cruises in the Caribbean, on flights to Europe, and even back and forth in my car daily so that at any moment I could take a few minutes’ break, just me and my Kobo.

Then tragedy struck: one evening while rushing to take groceries into the house to make dinner, I forgot my Kobo in the car. Wouldn’t you know it, a thief broke into my car and stole it. I was shattered! End of story. However, I still feel the loss. You never know how much you love something until it’s gone.

  9. I like being able to read a book and not worry about wrinkling the pages or crinkling the spine. The book will always be in pristine condition!

  14. I love kobo e-readers! What I love most about them is how comfortable of a reading position I can be in when I use it. I don’t need to hold a book/ seperate pages etc. Also I love being able to read in the dark:)

  24. What I love about my Kobo, is a good library at my fingertips, the light weight, the back light, and the 300 DPI. As an added bonus there’s also trophies, a web browser, and stats. Not to mention a really great battery life, that when I’m on the go, I don’t have to worry or limit my usage.

These days you pay for every bag you take on a plane (in most cases) so space is at a premium… as a book lover there is nothing better than a Kobo that will hold everything I could possibly ever want to read on a trip and weigh next to nothing! I know it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but I have an iPhone X for that, I want a nice simple reader and this fits the bill perfectly!

  45. Replacing a book is hard, especially when you are using a tablet. Using any other tablet will bring plenty of other distractions like facebook, emails or pop ups. But with Kobo, you are able to focus into what you like the most which is reading. It makes it so easy with the possibility to always carry your favorite books in a display that will be friendly to your eyes and does not need to be charged every 2 – 3 days like others.

  47. I love Kobo eReaders; I am an avid bibliophile and have spent my life dragging books around the world with me (from the time I was a child to the time I was an adult for my work). It could be a real hassle and pain in the back. So my favourite thing about Kobo is that I can easily take hundreds of books with me anywhere and everywhere without needing luggage, I can access said books anywhere in the world…
