Reading broadens and shapes your mind

Since I was a child, I have loved reading. Even now as an adult, I can’t go to a coffee shop without a book in my backpack. I even remember the first book I ever read: the Call of the Wild by Jack London. It’s the book of my childhood. It shaped my imagination in regards to what Canada is about—magnificent mountains, landscapes, harsh winters, and more. I looked at the Kobo store online, and voila, it is there and for less than a dollar I could download it to an e-reader and relive that amazing experience.

Reading is an amazing activity not only for your brain, but for your mind. It opens it, lets you imagine you can be one of the characters, and live a different life. Lately I’ve been getting into crime books, especially Agatha Christie’s books. They give me a thrill, but I do get a little impatient to discover who’s the real killer. Reading triggers a range of emotions in me; most importantly, it makes you feel things. Nowadays, reading is more accessible than ever, thanks to portable e-readers like the Kobo Sage. With a Kobo, there are no more excuses for not getting started on a new book!

Kobo Sage HD touchscreen eReader with stylus to read in style

If you are looking for an e-reader that lets you store all your books, the Kobo Sage HD touchscreen is what you need. Featuring 32GB of storage, it’s the perfect accessory to keep all your favourite titles, especially when you are on the go. Depending on what you are in the mood for, you can just choose from any genre without having to carry any book. Boasting a 1440 x 1920 resolution with Dark Mode on an 300 PPI E Ink Carta 1200 touchscreen, reading with a Kobo Sage is comfortable and easy on your eyes; you can keep reading for hours. Its waterproof design is also great to take it to the beach or by the pool—or just in the bath without worries. What’s also great is that you don’t have to worry about charging it up every hour since it can last up to weeks on a single charge.

Combined with the Kobo stylus that we are giving away in this contest, you will be able to make handwritten notes in eBooks or PDFs. It’s great for aspiring writers to jot ideas or anyone who likes to doodle notes and reminders. I think for me, it would be a great creative writing experience. I like that you don’t have to worry about carrying a pen and paper and can get those creative ideas rolling freely and edit and transfer them to a computer with ease.

We sent out for honest review this really cool Kobo Sage e-Reader to our blogger Ted Kritsonis. I recommend you to read it through, especially if you are figuring out which one between the Sage and the similarly designed new Libra 2 you might prefer. It’s a great read overall. Then come back, and enter this contest to win the Sage one.
