Garmin dash cams are reliable and easy to use. You likely know how useful they are. Dash cams have gone from a “nice-to-have” to a “must-have” addition to your vehicle. Car owners, truck owners—even motorcycle owners—realize the value of capturing the many unexpected events that happen on the road on digital video. Garmin has a wide selection of dash cams, like the Garmin 47, 57, 67W, and mini all to be given away in this contest. Read on to learn two of my favourite features and for a chance to win one of these Garmin dash cams.

Garmin dash cams provide clear and detailed recordings

Drivers want a dash cam that reliably captures high-quality video and high-definition still recordings. There’s a lot of factors that can affect the quality of the footage: fast moving cars, varying light and weather conditions can make capturing good videos and images even more difficult. There is a lot of technology built into Garmin dash cams to ensure quality images are captured and stored, and can easily be shared afterwards.

When looking for a dash cam, look for ones with the right resolution that can give you quality footages. With the right resolution, dash cams can give you a clear and detailed picture of the road that captures important details, such as plate numbers. Garmin dash cams have the standard 1440p HD and 1080p HD resolutions that, combined with its Clarity HDR optics feature, ensure you get clear and detailed footages day and night.

Save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault

The videos and still photos your dash cam takes help provide a clear picture of incidents that happen on the road, so having a place online to save all of them just makes sense. Most people want a dash cam so they can show recordings of road incidents as proof, whether for insurance or police purposes, and your dash cam should make them readily available for you when you need them.

With Garmin dash cams you can quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. If you want to store your videos for a longer period of time, each Garmin dash cam comes with its own subscription plan.

Through the online storage vault, you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. What I also like about this feature is that you can easily share your video with anyone simply by providing them a link to that video.

  3. The ability to quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault is a must. If there is an accident or an incident, I want to be sure that there’s another copy of it online.

  4. Not only would a Garmin dash cam be helpful if I got into an accident, but if someone else got into an accident and I got it on video, it would definitely be helpful to them to recall exactly what happened before the accident occurred.
The Garmin dash cam I think would also be an additional safety measure to ensure that when I am driving somewhere either by myself or with my family, the Garmin dash cam is there to ensure that I arrive to my destination as safe as possible.

  5. The most important feature to me is the accessibility of Garmin’s app. The ability to save dashcam footage in their online storage is an amazing quality that my current dashcam does not provide! This will improve my driving experience immensely as I can rest easy knowing any footage of an incident detected by Garmin will be saved for my review 🙂

  6. The ability to save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault will definitely give me peace of mind.

  7. I like how small it is, that way I won’t be distracted by it while still be covered in case of accident

  8. The ability to have automatic recordings to show insurance companies if in an accident caused by someone else.

  11. The continuous recording and a 140-degree field of views ensure that I capture everything. Even with defensive driving, you never know what’s going to happen on the road, so providing some key evidence will certainly maintain a peace of mind.

  12. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. Great evidence if reporting damage to your insurer.

  13. The most important feature to me is the video quality because in the case of an accident good video quality will help to determine the cause of the accident.

  18. I wish I had had one 2 years ago. I would love to have one that records an accident and, to be able to see it the recording your phone is a plus!

  19. I live in the northern part of Canada. Some days I am driving into work and I see the most beautiful scene. The first thing I always think is I wish I could take a picture of this or film it. So the clear video images that I can share with my friends and family would be amazing.
