Garmin dash cams are reliable and easy to use. You likely know how useful they are. Dash cams have gone from a “nice-to-have” to a “must-have” addition to your vehicle. Car owners, truck owners—even motorcycle owners—realize the value of capturing the many unexpected events that happen on the road on digital video. Garmin has a wide selection of dash cams, like the Garmin 47, 57, 67W, and mini all to be given away in this contest. Read on to learn two of my favourite features and for a chance to win one of these Garmin dash cams.

Garmin dash cams provide clear and detailed recordings

Drivers want a dash cam that reliably captures high-quality video and high-definition still recordings. There’s a lot of factors that can affect the quality of the footage: fast moving cars, varying light and weather conditions can make capturing good videos and images even more difficult. There is a lot of technology built into Garmin dash cams to ensure quality images are captured and stored, and can easily be shared afterwards.

When looking for a dash cam, look for ones with the right resolution that can give you quality footages. With the right resolution, dash cams can give you a clear and detailed picture of the road that captures important details, such as plate numbers. Garmin dash cams have the standard 1440p HD and 1080p HD resolutions that, combined with its Clarity HDR optics feature, ensure you get clear and detailed footages day and night.

Save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault

The videos and still photos your dash cam takes help provide a clear picture of incidents that happen on the road, so having a place online to save all of them just makes sense. Most people want a dash cam so they can show recordings of road incidents as proof, whether for insurance or police purposes, and your dash cam should make them readily available for you when you need them.

With Garmin dash cams you can quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. If you want to store your videos for a longer period of time, each Garmin dash cam comes with its own subscription plan.

Through the online storage vault, you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. What I also like about this feature is that you can easily share your video with anyone simply by providing them a link to that video.

  1. I love that you can take the video from the online storage vault and edit and manage clarity of any incident recorded and then save to your phone for more permanent record. It allows for all customers but especially women, a worry free experience knowing if there was any type of issue or incident a clear recorded record of that for their safety

  2. The Automatic Incident Detection (G-sensor) saves video footage on impact. Can be really great for insurance reports.

  3. a dashcam with great optics would be great when traveling could help should something go wrong for us or for someone else.

  4. The clarity HDR optics would be so useful if needed for an accident or any strange event as we often drive through long stretches of uninhabited areas.

  5. the Clarity HDR optics which allow for clear pictures would really help if something happened while I was driving – having a car cam would help with insurance claims I suppose.

  6. The online storage is my favourite feature . It would enhance my driving experience by being less stressed out of an accident because I would have it on video .

  7. Being able to provide high quality video to police or insurance provider in the event of an accident.

  8. The continuous recording and 140-degree field of view of Garmin dash cams is most important to me because it can help with an insurance claim in case of an accident.

  9. The auto save upon collision detection sounds very handy. Drivers can become disoriented after an incident and this feature would leave them one less thing to worry about.

  10. I like that it saves info instantly. No fussing around trying to download images means more attention to the road

  11. a dash-cam is a must nowadays, in case you get involved in an accident. I love that these dash-cams have wifi/Bluetooth and also a 16GB SD card. but why a micro-USB when everything is now changing to USB-C? =)

  12. Many times you see a driver doing something ill advised ahead of you, but they are not the ones that end up in the accident. Having the connectivity would allow you to email the evidence of what actually happened.

  13. I love the wide angle motion picture, to send photos to my son of the dog and I. He’s always making sure we are safe.

  14. I love how the video quality is clear. I have two young and soon to be drivers coming up in our family. This would be great to show them situations and how to react. Also I could see how they really drive when I am not there.

  15. Reliable and easy installation as well as long term reliability.

A dash cam makes me feel safer having a record of my travels and any accidents (for insurance)

  17. I like the easy to upload option. It would help in my many RV road trips during camping season to capture exciting sites

  18. I like the idea of just having a magnet stuck on window and then you can easily take down/up camera anytime, I have used ones with suction cup and it does not go up well especially in winter. You must wait till window heats up a bit.
I have used past dash cameras for an accident to prove it was not my fault and am waiting for court date for same accident.

  19. It would definitely would be helpful for recording any road accident. That way, it would be easier to make my case if i was involved in an accident. I would feel much safer having a dash cam.
