Shopping can be fun, especially when you find what you are looking for. We are all on the lookout for the best deals, especially at this time of year and you know that Best Buy Boxing Day sales will have plenty of deals. In the spirit of keeping vigilant for great deals, we’ve prepared this fun contest. Our head office building staff put together an amazing Christmas village display: along the train track are some Best Buy gift cards. Watch the video as the Best Buy train travels through the village and look very carefully—there are four Best Buy gift cards placed strategically. Get inspired to give the tech they’ll love

Gifting inspiration comes in many ways. Sometimes a casual conversation with your mom sparks an idea that turns into a perfect gift for her. Perhaps you saw an advertisement, or a TikTok video, and knew immediately that your sister would love that item. On the blog we prepared a 12 days of Christmas series of articles to inspire you with some of the best tech we tested on the blog this past year. Check it out and you might find something new and exciting for someone on your list (or for yourself!).

A Best Buy gift card is a gift of choice

Okay so you’ve searched and searched but just can’t decide what to give someone on your list. That’s one of the best reasons to get a gift card. It’s like gifting an experience: they’ll peruse the Best Buy aisle in store, or the endless aisle at Best Buy online, to find the tech they need. Perhaps it’s a mouse for better productivity in 2024, or they’ll put the card towards a new mobile phone or laptop! The possibilities are endless when you give the gift of choice. And if you enter this contest, you might win one of four $100 Best Buy gift cards.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways:

  1. Watch the video, then in an email to bestbuyblog@bestbuycanada.ca with the subject line “Best Buy Christmas Train Contest” tell us at least one place within the Christmas Village where you saw a gift card. Do not put that information in a comment on the blog: you must send it in an email.
  2. Look at the selection of 12 days of Christmas articles, and in a comment below this contest tell us which of those articles has the tech you would love to receive this Christmas (you can mention more than one in your comment). Also tell us why you like that tech.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will randomly select four winners from all eligible entries. Each of the winners will receive a $100 Best Buy eGift Certificate that can be used online or in a store.

This contest runs from Dec 15th to Dec 28th.

Remember you can enter in two different ways as discussed above. We all love the gift of choice, so take this opportunity to reach out to your loved ones and tell them to enter this contest too.

  2. My favourite item is Day 2, Samsung QN90C NeoQLED 4K TV. The picture quality makes you feel you are inside the movie, and I love that!

  3. So many great things that I manifest for Christmas. Definatly the Fitbit Charge 6 and I love love the Garmin Venu 2 Plus. My vivofit unfortunatly “bit the dust” after changing the battery a little while ago. I had it for soooooo long and loved it. I’m a hairdresser and the fitness watches are perfect for timing chemical services, setting alerts for reminders, and reminding me to drink water and keep walking and moving. I feel lost without one. Wearing just a regular watch to fill the void for now. I also like Oral-B iO Series 10 brush, it looks so cool and who doesn’t love clean, smooth teeth. I would cherish any these gifts. Best buy always has the toys I love.

  5. Out of all the products I would have to go with Day 5 because our household loves everything Mario and a Nintendo switch is currently in our sights for the future!

  7. There are so many fantastic products in these articles! I’ll try to limit myself to my favorite 3!

    -Day 2’s Samsung NeoQLED TV would be amazing! I love the picture quality, especially for gaming, and the sun-charging remote is super cool.

    -I have to include Day 5 for Super Mario Brothers Wonder, of course! I would love a copy. I play with a couple of friends once in a while at their house and it’s all I can think about for days afterwards! It’s such a fun game and, I haven’t tried this yet, but I love that you can help other people on online multiplayer!

    -Day 7’s ASUS ROG Ally Portable Console is an absolute must-have! I have wanted a portable system for playing Steam games for a while now and, since I don’t have a Steam Deck or a reliable gaming computer, I’d happily take an ASUS ROG Ally anytime! I also don’t have an XBox so being able to still access XBox games would be amazing! It seems like a really awesome piece of technology!

  10. I’d love to receive an ASUS laptop (Day 7) or Microsoft Surface (Day 11) for this Christmas. They would be great devices that would make my work day life easier as my own laptop is old and outdated.

  15. 12 Days of Christmas – Day Ten is Health and Fitness Tech. A smartwatch or fitness tracker is the perfect health and fitness tech to make my 2024 the healthiest year ever!

    I love movie nights with my family and these would be incredible for a movie night and for our entertainment room!

  26. Hello! Winning the ASUS Laptop would be a dream come true for me, especially considering the struggles my daughter is facing with her current borrowed laptop for school. It’s quite slow and impacts her studies. Receiving this laptop as a Christmas gift would not only make her holidays brighter but also significantly enhance her learning experience.   27. That’s easy: Super Mario RPG, and a Switch to play it on! The original SNES version was my first RPG as a kid; I rented it so many times, the store eventually let me buy and keep it. The new version has polish while keeping its spirit, and a Switch would be perfect for some relaxation gaming anywhere you fancy.

  46. I would choose an Asus Zenbook. Hubby’s current laptop needs an upgrade and this would be great for him to do his work from home but also watch his fave YouTube videos.

  47. I want everything at Best Buy. Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Bros. Wonder would entertain my family. Little Buddies plush toys and LEGO Super Mario sets would be loved, as well. The top of my wishlist is Google Pixel 8 Pro. Photo tools like Magic Eraser are appealing.

  48. Day 5 Mario gift would be my favourite love to play those games and they are perfect to play with my family during the holidays

  49. While everything looks great and would be cool to have, what I would like best is the Microsoft Surface convertible laptop. It is from Day 11 – Microsoft Surface article.

  50. Day 2: the Samsung NeoQLED TV would be a great replacement for my family’s current flat screen from the early 2010s. The better picture quality would make game nights and family movie nights that much better.
