  3. my favourite tradition is helping my daughter bake for the holidays. She is so much better than me, so I just be her side kick while she makes the most wonderful baked goods ever

  4. I moved to Canada in 2007 and left my family behind (parents and siblings) but now I found a new family. My lovely neighbour and her son always have me over fro Christmas or Thanksgiving so I don’t miss my family so much.

  8. My Mother had a Yam Casserole recipe she made for every Christmas Dinner- Now 4 generations later, everyone wants Bo’s Casserole. I would use the pasta attachment as I would like the fresh pasta and the variety of shapes.

  9. Cherished moment is cooking the full Christmas dinner together, from the rutabaga and carrots, right up to the marvel of the roasted turkey. It was so special and now we do not do that anymore since covid as it still is around till this day. Nevertheless, cherished moments are just that, to be cherished and remembered.

  10. When my daughter started kindergarten, they asked parents to come in and help the class cook a dish and add it to a recipe book for the kids. I was able to go into class and share my Sugar Cookie recipe. However, I did not share all the secrets of the recipe, so while the cookies were still delicious, they were not as good as mine! Over the years since, my daughter and son have both made these cookies with me many times, and they know the “family” secret to make them so delicious! My daughter still has that recipe book and laughs every time she reads the recipe!

Mom & I cooked the day before and did our baking so we could visit with the family!!

Family friends were all lucky recipients of the deliciousness! He passed away this July at the tender age of 43 after suffering a massive stroke. Not a minute goes by that I don’t think about him, and can’t help but wonder how I am going to pull through our cookie baking.
