I don’t have to tell you why every kitchen and every cook deserves KitchenAid appliances and cookware. They make cooking more fun, and more successful. Let’s face it, we have all attempted dishes that are well above our skill level. And since this is a fun contest, I think we should focus on those times that were successful and emphasize that KitchenAid inspires us to keep reaching for the stars.

KitchenAid helps you to have more confidence in the kitchen

My wife is pressuring me to make crème brûlée for the first time this holiday season. I’m not sure my skills are up to it, but I’ll give it try. I’ve read many recipes online that say it’s easy, but I’ve also had many in restaurants that were not very good (overcooked outer layer, grainy custard, tasteless) … so there must be some skill involved. I do like to experiment in the kitchen, but not as much as much as some people.

Do you love to try new things in the kitchen during the holiday season? Yes, we all indulge in traditional favourites that we make the same way every year. Stability is comforting. But trying a new recipe, something exotic and decadent perhaps, and succeeding provides a profound sense of satisfaction. Perhaps I’ll experience that when I tackle crème brûlée!

Are you a KitchenAid collector?

I am not new to KitchenAid, though I don’t have their stand mixer (I wish I could enter this contest!). Are you new to KitchenAid? If you win, will this be your first KitchenAid appliance? I sent one of these Artisan Stand mixers to Shelly for a review because I know she would be inspired to make a lot of different things … and she was. Check out her review and hopefully you’ll feel some of Shelly’s excitement while testing this new appliance. Here’s her video review:

Now you have a sense of what is possible if you win this contest. Think about the exciting new recipes you will attempt for the first time, then enter. The prize is a brand new sample in that same beautiful colour and with the same accessories as the sample that Shelly tested.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways.

  1. In a comment below, tell us how many KitchenAid items you have (appliances and cookware) and list one item on the KitchenAid page at Best Buy that you would like to get next.
  2. Visit the product page at bestbuy.ca for this contest prize, then in an email to bestbuyblog@bestbuycanada.ca with the subject line KitchenAid contest, tell us which colour you prefer: the range of colours is shown on the product page with the name of the colour below each model (I erased the names in this image on the right.). You must use the correct name of the colour for a valid entry.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will randomly select one winner from all valid entries to receive a new KitchenAid Artisan Tilt-Head Stand Mixer with Premium Accessory Pack.

This contest runs from Nov 25th to Dec 9th.

Remember you can enter in two different ways. Be sure to send this to all friends and family who will be cooking holiday meals and hosting holiday parties: especially if you’ll be partaking in the fruits of their labour. Imagine if someone you know wins after you tell them about this contest. I think that deserves at least a dozen Christmas homemade cookies!
