LG CES 2017Although some may have their eyes glued to the new LG TVs and other electronics during their press conference at CES 2017, I had been waiting not-so-patiently to find out exactly what was new in the world of LG appliances. When they finally began discussing the latest and greatest from LG, it was well worth the wait.  The announced a brand new refrigerator that, in my opinion, is going to be a huge deal for a lot of home owners, and a few other cool devices that you’ll use every day.

If you’re a fan of LG too, here’s a quick preview of what was just announced at CES 2017.

Imagine walking through your local grocery store and wondering whether or not you still had milk in your refrigerator.  Instead of buying some anyway, you could just find out exactly what’s in your fridge without leaving the store. Or what if you’re at home and you’re wondering what was inside your fridge and instead of opening the door, all you had to do was knock to take a peek inside?

That’s just a snapshot of what you’ll get when you have LG’s Smart InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator. It has a brilliant 29 inch touchscreen right on the door of the fridge, and if you knock on it twice the screen turns translucent and you can see inside.

The touchscreen runs on it’s own operating system, and it will work with voice commands too. Not only that, but that touchscreen will be the centre of your kitchen because it will play music, take photos of your groceries inside, and help you shop using the LG app.

One of the most unique aspects of this refrigerator is that it’s powered with deep learning technology. The wave of the future, this type of tech will let the fridge automatically sense what time of the day you’re most likely to have a cold beverage and fill your ice cube tray or it will monitor your food purchases and adjust itself to optimize shelf life.

Cleaner dishes, faster than ever: that’s the name of the game when it comes to LG’s new Quad Wash dishwashers. Powered with Quad Wash technology, they have four spray arms that move back and forth, and that motion can cut dishwashing time by 15% while still giving you the cleanest dishes around. They also have a turbo wash cycle that can clean your dishes in 55 minutes.

Also powered by deep learning technology, the LG HOM-BOT Robot Cleaner is full of sensors and cameras designed to help it get around your house and clean it efficiently. It’s so smart it will know the difference between objects and it it bumps into something human, it will ask you to step aside so it can continue cleaning.

It will map out your house too, so it will always know exactly what’s supposed to be where when its cleaning.

I’m not sure if we’ll see it anytime soon, but LG has also announced a lawn mowing robot that works like the HOM-BOT. It can mow the grass and read your lawn so it goes around obstacles. That means no more mowing over sprinklers and rocks!

Those are just a few amazing devices you’ll see in the LG booth at CES 2017. Check out everything LG on Best Buy right now.
