Host a party with a JBL PartyBox 100 speaker

In these recent two years of social distancing, finding ways to connect has become more important than ever. With fewer restrictions likely over the upcoming spring and summer, many of us will host and attend parties with friends and family. And music is an essential element of a party! Just like its name, the JBL PartyBox 100 Bluetooth speaker is made for partying and dancing. Here is my suggestion for an amazing way to get the most from this speaker; let’s call it:

Community dance party

Tell your neighbours you are organizing a party and they are all invited. Do it in your backyard, or if possible near a local pool or just in the street, especially if you are near a cul-de-sac. I live in a townhouse complex which is great since there would not be much traffic! Ask for help setting up some food tables for family-friendly snacks; for example, one neighbour could run the popcorn bar with sweet and salty mixes. Set up a mocktail bar where adults and kids can have fun creating their own version of the perfect party beverage.

Mostly, focus on creating an atmosphere that encourages everyone to dance. This requires the right music played at the right volume! Ask for your neighbour’s favourite songs, then create a playlist. Make sure most of the tunes are upbeat and at least some of them familiar enough for most people. Set up the JBL PartyBox speaker in a location near the “dance floor.”  To encourage participation, have some simple prizes, and organize some dancing games. For example, choose a decade, like the 50s, create a playlist of hit songs from the era, and do a “dance-off” where everyone has to dance using the historic moves from that time period. I know an event like this would raise spirits and create a memorable evening for everyone.

  48. I already own a JBL flip device and they are fantastic bluetooth devices. I find the one i have isn’t loud enough for when i have gatherings in my backyard so having the JBL Boombox 2 Waterproof Bluetooth Wireless Speaker would be a blast. I love doing group dances and this boombox provides everyone with the optimal sound experience!
