Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

    a) The LG OLED TV with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility would be useful to us as many of our laptops and home PCs feature Nvidia graphics cards. Connecting our PCs to a G-SYNC compatible TV would definitely prevent screen tearing.

    b) LG NanoCell 55″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (55NANO90UNA) has a perfect feature set and sizing for our smaller rec room in the basement.

  23. For Sony, I am impressed by the vivid colours of the triluminos display and by the acoustic surface audio. The model I would chose is XBR49X800H. Yes, 49” not 65

  24. Personally I really like Samsung’s The Frame feature. TVs have been boring black bezels for far too long. The Frame will turn this set into a work of art to match my decor.

    a) The Samsung Ambient Mode feature on their line sounds like a useful feature to have when our TV is not in active use for direct constant viewing material usage.

    b) From the 2020 lineup, the Samsung 55″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN55Q90TAFXZC) – Titan Black interests me most with its given feature set meeting many of our family’s needs.

  48. I currently own a smart Samsung tv. It’s served me well and I love the brand. What I am looking forward the most for the Samsung brand, are the Samsung 8K TVs. We were the first of our friends to buy a smart tv and we love it, but to be honest, it pales in comparison to the
    new 8K tv, which has four times the resolution of a 4K tv. Samsung 8K TV transforms flat images into a deeper, more lifelike experience. That’s all great with the exception of watching horror movies on it! Yikes
