Imagine it: it’s Friday night, you have the popcorn and the Twizzler Nibs, the lights dim, and the film rolls. For the next two hours it’s you and the story, another world that could be just like yours, or one that is nothing like it. You might laugh, you might scream, you might cry⸺but it’s all visceral and wonderful. That is the magic of a movie, and to really appreciate it, you need an amazing theatre upgrade that begins with the BenQ HT3550 4K Ultra HD home theatre projector. Wouldn’t you know it, we have one to give away to a lucky winner!

True 4K Ultra HD Projector

If you’re getting a projector, you want the best experience possible, not a projector with dim colours, frequent lag time, and finicky set up. It’d be like if you were promised Greased Lightning, the car that Danny Zuko declared to be “automatic, systematic, and hydromatic,” and instead received the junker before it was overhauled. But have no fear, the BenQ HT3550 delivers Greased Lightning in projector form, giving you a product that’s automatic, systematic, and best of all, cinematic.

Automatic features make your life simple

To make your life easier and your viewing experience better, the BenQ HT3550 has a few automatic features. BenQ Enhanced Color Mapping technology provides a picture that is automatically tuned to reflect nature when viewing DCI-P3 4K Blu-ray movies, meaning colours are vibrant and true-to-life. And to prevent you having to spend ages getting the projector at the exact right angle, auto vertical keystone correction prevents the image from being annoyingly trapezoid shaped.

All systems are go with the BenQ HT3550

Optimized lens array

The BenQ 4K optical system features a high-quality glass that allows superior light penetration and realistic image quality. Plus, the low-dispersion lens coatings minimize aberrations, which is a wordy way to say your images will be sharp. And no matter what size screen you have, the HT3550 focuses automatically with a zoom system follows focus adjustments, so your movies are automatically blur free.

BenQ HT3550 brings cinema-quality features to your home

This 4K Ultra HD projector aims to give you the movie-theatre experience from the comfort of your own home. CinematicColor, a super wide DCI-P3 colour space, and a high native ANSI contrast ratio ensure the best colours are used to bring out accurate images. The HT3550 also supports playback of 24 frames per second, meaning your entertainment will have the correct cadence, just like they would in a theatre. CinemaMaster Audio+ handles the audio quality, offering deep bass and clear highs, the movie modes have been specially designed to offer a cinematic atmosphere and film-like motion as the directors intended.

Enhanced Color Mapping

What I’ve mentioned here only scratches the surface of the features that the BenQ HT3550 has to offer, so take a look at the Best Buy site. From optimized HDR brightness projection to the 8.3 million distinct pixels, you’ll see how the HT3550 manages to be the Rolls Royce of home theatre projectors.

  1. I would want the EluneVision 120″ 16:9 Tab-Tension Motorized Projector Screen to complete our home theater experience. 🙂

  2. Wouldn’t mind a Sony HTST5000 800-Watt 7.1.2 Channel Dolby Atmos Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer!

  3. Samsung HW-N950 512-Watt 7.1.4 Channel Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer would be perfect.

  4. If I’m lucky enough to win the Ben QHT35550 7K Ultra HD projector, I think the perfect addition to it would be Best Buy’s Sonos One Wireless Multi-Room Speaker. Great sound, and great picture quality — we could get the true theatre experience at home (except no annoying people talking behind us!).

  5. Octane Cloud XS850 4-Seat Bonded Leather Recliner Home Theatre Seating with Accessory Dock – Black would be my addition to a comforatble home theatre

  6. Valencia Verona Premium Leather Air Manual Recliner LED Lighting Home theatre Seating – 3 seat

  7. I would need the Klipsch R34C 100-Watt 2-Way Centre Channel Speaker – Black. If you have great picture you need great sound.

  8. The Octane Dream HR 3-Seat Leather Power Recliner Home Theatre Seating would be great!

  9. I think Elite Screens’ ELECTRIC100H powered 100” screen would be the perfect complement to that projector. Not so large as to overstretch the BenQ’s 2000 Lumens max output, and I think it could work with my receiver’s remote trigger function. Would certainly make for a massive upgrade to my current 720p setup.

  10. EluneVision Reference Studio 106″ 4K Tab-Tensioned Motorized 16:9 Projector Screen (EV-T3-106-1.0) We are finishing our basement and this duo would be the perfect addition.

  11. I could really use a new tv for my game room I have been looking at the insignia-39-1080p-led-smart-tv-ns-39df510ca19-fire-tv-edition

  12. The Bose Lifestyle 650 5.1 Channel 3D Home Theatre System would go nicely with the projector

  13. Wow! This projector would be epic! I’ve checked out the site and I am a fan of the Sharp 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED Roku Smart TV as well!
