Televisions are a gathering place where you, your family, and your friends can gather to enjoy the latest block buster movie, or share in the excitement of a long-anticipated sports event. We recently sent one of these televisions to Erin, Editor for Home Theatre on the Best Buy blog, for an honest review. Samsung Galaxy S9 smart phones are essential for everywhere you go

No one wants to be without a smart phone. We use them for so many different things. Communication, of course, in all of its forms: email, social media, telephone, video phone, etc. They are also our daily little helper devices, waking us in the morning, keeping track of our appointments, holding our lists, reminders, and notes and directing us through traffic or toward a meeting in an unfamiliar part of town. The Samsung Galaxy S9 that we are giving away in this contest does all of those things, but if you win you’ll definitely be telling everyone about its camera.

The S9 is a premium smart phone, a standout, that you will want to tell others about. After all, what’s the point of having the best if you can’t let your friends and family know how good it is. The best way to do that is through the photos you take with this phone.

We asked blogger Ted Kritsonis to test this phone and write an honest review. As you’ll read in his article, this phone allows you to get amazing photos using “pro” mode, as well as capture fun and interesting slow motion video!

  1. Without a doubt, the smart phone! I currently own an old Samsung and my life depends on it! Several cracks but I keep on holding on until I can afford a new one. 🙁 I don’t watch much TV in any case.

  2. The TV is far more essential to my life than the phone. My favourite feature is how we could view from different angles (depending where we sit) and there would be no drama about who sits where. I also love how you can still see the program well in darker scenes as with the tv I have now I need to watch said shows when it is pretty much dark outside so I can see them.

  19. As essential as the Samsung S9 may be, the Samsung QLED TV edges it for me. I’ve been the owner of a 42″ Plasma TV for over 2 years. Only I and my guests can tell you how much of a struggle it is to get the best viewing angles during a game or event for a large crows. I think the stand out feature that I will benefit most from is not the crisp display unfortunately, but the widened viewing angle. All my friends – and I especially – will be grateful for the TV!   23. The Samsung QLED 4K TV is my choice. We’ve had a Samsung 1080p TV for more than 8 years now and the picture quality has been superb. This TV would be a wonderful upgrade in our home. It uses far less energy than our older TV and while improving our viewing pleasure, we’re also helping the planet by reducing our carbon footprint.

  27. I have Samsung S8 Plus. I would be great to upgrade to S9 because it has perfect camera for low lighting scoring 99% in DXO Mark which is 2 point higher than iPhone X. Samsung have been creating futuristic phones and is always ahead than Apple in smartphone era.

  40. It would have to be the move up from a 55” Panasonic plasma to the 65” Samsung TV. Sports are big in my family. To witness Blue Jays games, world events and hopefully one day the NFL games with all that 4K goodness would be wonderful

  41. How to choose? My phone almost never leaves my side. I use it for almost everything; web browser, work email, personal email, game time, social media. An upgrade from my A5 would be inviting. On the other hand, the 65″ QLED TV would be amazing. Whether sitting down to watch the next sporting event or movie, or hooking up the XBox One for a quick game with the boys, you can’t go wrong with the super clear picture. Upgrading from the Samsung I currently own would be amazing. If I was forced to choose between the two (and I am), I would have to go with the TV as it would be shared with, and bring joy to, the entire family.

  45. I have a 4k TV, but my phone is two generations old. So the Galaxy S9 would be my essential pic. Battery life, better camera and screen… everything would be a step up for me. I think a new phone would probably be the choice for most people, because you can do a lot more with a new smart phone than you can with a mounted TV.

  46. Obviously, the Galaxy S9 smart phone is the most essential product to most people’s life including myself – it’s portable, access the internet, communicate with others, and consume content. A TV is generally used to consume content only. Having said that a QLED 4K TV is killer!!! Everyone needs a smartphone but everyone wants a 4K TV.

My husband is an advanced care paramedic and at the end of a long, physically and emotionally demanding shift he loves to unwind by watching sports on TV. The gorgeous crystal-clear picture delivered by Q HDR Elite technology would make him feel as though he’s watching hockey, curling, baseball, and golf live at the event! Awesome! The Ambient Mode is a very cool feature, too; We would use it to show pictures of our family when they are visiting — the stories that are told from those memories are amazing! Ultimately, this exceptional TV would make a huge impact on our lives 🙂
