Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Which one are you dying to add to your collection?

Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

Boost your Star Wars collection with one contest entry

Few people have the dedication, and the good fortune, to have a large collection of Star Wars toys. Enter this contest and that will change. We will give away 2 great collections of this year’s new Star Wars toys as shown here:

Each of these prize packages has intelligent droids, exciting and fun drones, and the just announced, augmented reality wonder: Jedi Challenges—I bet this will be the hottest new toy for Christmas this year!

How to enter

As with all contests on the Best Buy blog, entering is easy. You can enter only once. In a comment below this article, tell us which one of the Star Wars toys in this contest prize is your favourite and why (you must tell us why it’s your favourite).

What you can win

We will randomly choose 2 winners from all eligible entries. One person will be awarded Prize A shown above, and the other will be awarded Prize B. Each prize is worth approximately $1880.

This contest runs from October 20th until November 2nd, 2017.

Remember you can only enter once. With prizes this fantastic, I suggest you increase your chances by telling all of your friends and family to enter too, and propose if any of your win you share the prize! Use the share buttons below to easily post the contest on your social channels.

Good Luck!

  1. I would love to have the Propel Star Wars X-Wing Battling Quadcopter Drone. Having a drone at our property would be cool, to be able to take photo’s from the air and check out the landscape/view when I visit the mountains.

  2. LENOVO STAR WARS: JEDI CHALLENGES because my daughters love playing with light sabers, so they would love the virtual fight Kylo Ren.

  3. my husband loves everything star wars. he and kids would love the Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon. they like to reenact the scenes at home with their toy light saber all the time.

  4. The Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges!! Why? Playing with Star Wars toys and acting out Jedi duels is one thing, but BEING a Jedi?!?!? That’s amazing!

  5. I’m going with the Star Wars BB8 RC because when I first saw BB8 I thought he is funny and adorable, he is my favourite droid!

  6. Sphero Star Wars R2-D2. I was R2-D2 to Dad’s Vader for Halloween ’77. It’s time he got his sidekick back. (Also—sheds less than a dog.)

  7. My entire family are Star Wars fans. Our kids get “baptized” by age 4 or 5. So naturally, any of these toys would be amazing. However, my favourite would be the LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT. There is a 6 year old who would love to build this with help from us big kids. Plus, it’s such a great educational toy. What a great family activity…bonding over Star Wars! Win, win all over the place! May The Force Be With You.

  8. BB8 would be my choice..Not just the personality in him but the design of motions is amazing. I grew up with the star wars saga and now could share it with my growing family, such special memories for us all

  9. I love the SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID. As a true Star Wars fan R2D2 is by far my favourite. I love Sphero products and their connectivity to technology I already have. The fact that it beeps and boops like the true character will be so much fun to zoom around.

  10. I would love the littlebits-star-wars-droid-inventor-kit. It would be great to work on it together with my kids. They love Star Wars!

  11. Star Wars droid inventor kit! I love the fact it enables you to use your imagination in building as well as programming! The possibilities are endless!!!

  12. I absolutely love the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot. Besides being simply adorable. He looks like the real thing and can’t wait to see him in action.

  13. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID….because R2-D2 has been my favorite droid since I was 10 years old

  14. My favorite is the Sphero BB-9E, we have the Sphero BB-8 and it’s a blast. I think he needs a friend 🙂

  15. I’ve been looking at drones longingly for a couple years now, so a Propel Star Wars Speeder Bike Battling Quadcopter Drone would really fill that “void” so to speak. Not only is the battling function quite cool, but it would make a great displayed as well, something that other drones lack. Cheers!

  16. i have seen a couple of these products in Best Buy store but rally only saw a video of how they work. would have been nice to see an actual live demo so i could choose which droid or toy i would get my son who is 11 and saw all my old vhs and dvds of the complete saga 🙂

  17. The VTech SW BB8 Smart Phone is right up my alley. How awesome to have a watch like this, the force would always be with you. Awesome. Good luck all!

  18. FAVOURITE has to be the LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT for our son!!! He’s been a creator since birth and a Star Wars lover since he held his 1st Jedi. This kit would provide a new building opportunity to create electrical circuits with the coolest result… a droid! SO much cooler than the potato. Although the potato current experiment is still pretty cool.

  19. I still love C3P0 dertemand not to get killed !
R2D2 e litttle doroid who would do any thing to get the message to person and he would just keep going til the job was done!

  20. I love the STAR WARS BB8 RC. BB8 is my favorite character and therefore any BB8 toys are my favorites! Plus my son is so into RC toys now he will love it too.

  21. I would LOVE PROPEL SW X WING DRONE CLR ED. I have always wanted a drone and I’ve always been a Star Wars fan and to have a Star Wars drone is even better. I would also love to take pictures from above and for it to look like it was taken by a real X WING.

  22. UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot every time. What could be better than your own army of stormtroopers? Nothing.

  23. I think the Lenovo Star Wars Jedi Challenges is my favourite because I can actually feel like a Jedi in a VR lightsaber battle. Just a dream come true right there!

  24. The LittleBits Droid Inventor Kit looks very interesting! My sons enjoy building and we love robotics. Would be fun for them to be able to put together their own R2-D2 unit to play with!

  25. Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid. I would have said the R2D2 one, for nostalgic reasons but BB-8 is just so cute and has such a great personality (not that R2D2 doesn’t!). It’d be a blast to have BB8 roll around after me and entertain my star wars friends.

  26. My 5 yr old son Kai (and my husband too) loves Star Wars! We would love to win any of these toys, they all look amazing! Kai espcially loves BB8 and R2D2 so these app enabled driods would be awesome for him! He loves technology, and building and is so interested right now in controling robots so this would be so much fun for him and his dad!
    Thanks!

  27. My favourite is Sphero’s R2D2! Who doesn’t love that little guy? And a miniature version that you can have follow you around and help you out of tough situations? Amazing! Also, my BB8 needs a droid friend. :B

I hung out at your booth at Fan Expo this year and it was great!

  28. R2-D2 & BB-9E Sphero! My wife loves all things astromech and has been collecting the little figures for a a few years. She’s looking to add Sphero R2-D2 and BB-9E to her astromech family! 🙂

  29. My favourite is the Sphero BB-8 droid!! BB-8 is super adorable and I would love to be able to drive him around and take him on adventures.

  30. Sphero BB-9E (VD01FCA) app-enabled Droid was selected as my personal favourite this time after considerable amount of process of elimination for the top. Three distinctive feature which made BB-9E more appealing than the other 2 Star War Droids are (1) it’s handheld size makes it easier to carry around, (2) the color versus traditional**& shape, (3) it’s maneuver capability and speed on flat (not to mention non-flat surface grass fields) far surpass the R2D2 which may actually fall on it’s face if they raced (literally speaking).

**While “Jedi” makes the most collective overall impression to and for the people; (dark*/darth) Vader were able to produce a similar results as an iconic “individual” alone (as a tragic hero), starting from the quote & climactic plot twist “I am your Father”. The color “Black/Dark” was an excellent choice and (to me) gives off a little initial Vader’s color theme and also the smaller round-shape produced the impression of “Haro” from ‘Gundam series’ that I like.

The Lenovo Jedi Challenge VR Headset with “Saber!!” was selected as the runner’s up for top choice.
The augmented reality (Jedi experience) feature is definitely the best seller and would have been the #1 choice for me and many other but lost this time due to lack of ‘versus’ mode capability. It would had been extremely fun if two people with the same individual device can fight with each other while maintaining a reasonable amount of distance between each other to do close combat. “become the Jedi” it’s more challenging to predict how other people will move than NPC that has been pre-programmed and ‘link play’ (if update with more difficult or un-soloable challenge can still be implemented) would had increase the fun and the # of people buying this to ‘play together’ (2 or more) and not simply taking turns to share the “1 Jedi Challenge” gear.

Ps. *I had always remember him as “Dark Vader” instead of “Darth” for years when i was a kid.

  31. Yes Please! The LENOVO STAR WARS: JEDI CHALLENGES is my top choice because this is the closest I’ll get to be a real Jedi (or Sith) HA!

  32. We are a Star Wars family in this house! We would love the BB 8 app enabled droid w/trnr because it is something we can do together as a family. We’d get hours of family fun with it!

  33. I would love to win the SPHERO STAR WARS BB-9E APP-ENABLED DROID or any of the other SPHERO STAR WARS APP-ENABLED DROIDs. I’ve been a Star Wars fan since I’ve been in kindergarten and I have passed on that enthusiasm to my little Ewok-cousins and nephews/nieces, I bet they would love to meet a lifelike droid.
    Kind regards

    Rafael P.L. (Chewbacca)

  34. Speeder bike drone as who wouldn’t want a speeder from my favorite scene in all of the Star Wars movies!

  35. My pick would be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone, because drones are AWESOME! I’m teaching my daughters how to fly them!

  36. The UB Tech Stormtrooper!!! It has a Sentry Patrolling feature! When our dog is sleeping he can protect the house! That’s freaking awesome!!!!!!

  37. Great contest, right in time to get ready for “The Last Jedi”. Would love to win the UB Tech Stormtrooper because, … just because. If I had a kid, I’d probably share, but, oh well. Good luck to all!

  38. My newly turned 2 year old won’t sleep without his R2-D2 in the crib with him and when he wakes up he sings the imperial march. Puts a smile on this Star Wars fan’s face every time…

  39. I would love to get the little bits droid inventor kit for my son, he loves building and tinkering and star wars. I can imagine him playing with it for hours.

  40. I am a classic Star Wars fan, and as much as I love BB8 and look forward to seeing BB9-E, I have to go with the old school R2D2! I can’t wait to get my hands on the sphere Star Wars R2D2 app enabled droid and finally make my childhood dream of hanging out with R2 a reality 🙂
