Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

  1. I love everything R2D2 and to have the app enabled droid would be the perfect start to my collection. And no. It won’t stay stuck on a shelf. It will get used and interacted with. What an awesome collection!

  2. My son has been bugging for a drone so I would pink the Propel SW X wing drone. He would use to explore the grassy property around our home.

  3. The tie fighter drone is my personal favorite – I love drones and can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
    Although, I’m really interested in the Jedi Challenges one too, it looks very interesting and I’d love to try it!
    They all are great!

  4. My favourite Star Wars toy is and was the original toys produced in the late 70s. Now 45, my children create their own Star Wars adventures with their own collection, mostly tea parties with stuffed Yoda, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader. Oh well! At least the force lives on through them.

  6. My favorite toy has to be the replica lightsaber. I’ve been getting my 3 year old boy into star wars as I’m a die hard fan. He has figures and ships and the snap out lightsabers. We duel with them and he makes the sounds haha. If love to show him these high end sabers, and show him how us real Jedi do it he loves bb 8 and really want of the “obots”, as he calls them. I think he’d get a real hoot out of the new tech in your star wars store lol.

  7. The Sphero R2-D2. I got the Sphero BB-8 as a gift last year and I’m still using it regularly. I was blown away by what Sphero accomplished with the BB-8 and I want to experience their R2-D2 now to see if they’be struck gold twice. I’ve been waiting my whole life for an R2-D2 toy that is truly worthy of the name and I need to know if they’ve accomplished this task. Not to mention the prospect of having BB-8 and R2-D2 together is an exciting little geek-out.

  8. That Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid. its the size of a pet, without the mess lol! I could see myself visiting my parents with it and chasing their cats around!!!!

  9. I would love to have the PROPEL SW X WING DRONE CLR ED. Having a drone at our property would be cool, to be able to take photo’s from the air and check out the boats on the river etc.

  17. Sphero R2D2 would be my dream. I have love R2 since my first Star Wars movie in the 70’s and he is the top droid favourite in our family. He would get s lot of love on our house.

  23. Tie Fighter. It’s not a far-fetched design as it uses solar panels for power. I’d love to have it in my room hung on the ceiling.

  46. This is a tough choice, but if I have to choose, I’m going with the Star Wars BB8 RC because since episode VII, when I first saw BB8, I knew he would be my favourite droid!

  47. I am the biggest Star Wars Nerd on the planet so would be thrilled with any of the prizes but my favourite is R2D2 so I have to pick the sphere Star Wars R2D2 app enabled droid. I had a chance to check it out this summer and it was awesome.

  48. My step-son loves Star Wars, and he loves BB8. I think he would absolutely love rolling that guy around all over the place. BB8 is my favourite because it is his favourite.

  49. The Droid Inventor Kit looks really neat. My son loves robotics, so this would be a perfect way to apply his “robotics skills” and have his own R2-D2.

  50. Star Wars Jedi challenges. I always wanted to play with any star wars toys when I was little but I am a girl so back then you got girl toys. I want this because it’s VR and Star Wars!!!

    • My favorite Star Wars toy is Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges. Training as a Jedi would improve my lightsaber skills and as a Sith it will allow me to know my opponent and have a better chance of defeating them.
