But, if you’re still wondering what exactly a smart home is and how it can complement your day-to-day life, allow me to paint a picture of what life can be like in an AI-enabled home. You pull up the driveway at the same time you do every day. It’s late Fall and Jack Frost is starting to make his presence felt with cold winds that let you know that it’s the beginning of a long winter. The Nest thermostat since we just bought a new house and it should yield the most energy savings. Living in a condo, you’re pretty much stuck with the builder’s thermostat since not many smart thermostats are compatible with fan coil/heat pump systems. The builder’s thermostat is not even programmable!
The Nest Cam would be a great addition to our house. Being able to see the kids come and go to school when we are at work would be a nice sense of security.

The Nest Wifi Smart thermostat is the thing to have. The idea of coming home to a snug and warm home after work on a cold blustery day would be a dream come true. All at the same time as I’m saving money because I wouldn’t have to leave the thermostat turned up full is ideal
For me, the one smart home product that I would like to add to my life over everything else you would have to be Google Home. Daily tasks can take up A LOT of my time, but with Google Home, I can get organized and get the answers I need when I need them just by using my voice. Not to mention it looks great, sounds great and it’s REALLY COOL!
Lutron Caseta light switches throughout the house would be top for me. No more having to worry if i left the lights on our not.

I could really use the Nest Hello Wi-Fi Video Doorbell. I have an inconsistent schedule that takes me out of the house and I hate missing ba package delivery. This would also really help answer the door when I’m up on the second floor. Many times it’s hard to hear the door knock and make it downstairs in time.

I’d really really love the Nest outdoor IQ cam ! I read that it alerts you when there’s movement and there’s two way communication. Most importantly I would be notified if someone is coming or going if I’m not there. Before the age of 2 my daughter took herself out for a walk and since then I’m constantly checking the doors are closed and locked (we have child proofed since !) But this would give this mom of 2 little ones some peace of mind.

In would like to add a Nest temperature sensor so I can better control the room temperature in my office which has an irregular shape and a Nest Thermostat E.
Hands down what I would get is the nest thermostat. I like the Eco mode while away settings to save money on heating and the ability to control it from anywhere. Most importantly the ability to control it from bed when it’s feeling a bit too chilly out and you require more warmth in the house in order to start your day.
