I don’t know about you, but when the seasons change and the leaves start to fall, I immediately refresh my home and make it extra cozy for the upcoming months. My first step is to get organized. Donate, recycle or sell any items you no longer are in love with to make room for the new! You can also put items that are overly bright and summer-themed in storage.

You may also want to consider adding a fresh coat of paint (I love brown-grey for fall) or even add a splash of wallpaper to liven up your space! Patterns are such a great way to put a touch of luxury into any space.

Speaking of luxury—when it comes to shopping for furniture and accessories I LOVE to pour myself a glass of red and cozy up in my home while I shop online. It’s stress free and I can visit some of my favorite online destinations including Bestbuy.ca. There are so many perks to shopping with bestbuy.ca and right now there is a special furniture event called Home Furniture Event with savings over $1.3 million, free shipping and hassle free returns! When it comes to updating my home, I like to take my time and go room by room. Here are a few of my top finds for my favorite rooms from bestbuy.ca

Living room:

I’m in love with this Erica Contemporary Polyester Accent Chair and you can’t beat the price. I love that is has masculine tailored lines, and the nail head trim adds a splash of elegance. Tailored furniture is gaining popularity, and I’m onboard! It’s an ideal style of furniture if you like to entertain—and it’s also cozy. The Bianca Contemporary Sofa Bed is super chic and has a mid-century vibe. It’s perfect for a small space and I like that it’s also a sofa bed for out of town guests!

Bedroom:

AmsicoBed.jpgMid-century design is also making its way into the bedroom, which also happens to be one of my favourite places to decorate. The Amisco Highway Modern Queen Metal Platform Bed will work in almost any interior space. I would pair this with some light grey bedding for maximum effect.

With how much time we spend in bed (sleeping, working, watching TV) a mattress is one of the most important investments we can make. I find Sealy’s mattresses are truly top notch, in particular the Sealy Posturepedic PROBACK Pinnacle King Plush Euro Pillow Top Inner Spring Mattress. The Plush sleep surface is designed to contour to your body and help relieve pressure on the shoulder, arm, and hip when lying on your side, ideal for back and side sleepers—so this is perfect for me!

Home Office:

With so many of us working from home, the home office is another place where we spend substantial amounts of time, so stylish furniture and organizational elements are a top priority. I would recommend the Monterey Manager & Executive Chair. The ergonomic design provides great support by helping you to maintain good posture and the arm rests are cushioned (I always look for this).

When it comes to a desk, I really like the design of this Contemporary Computer Desk. Its clean lines inspire an organized office and the thick top offers plenty of desk space for all your work.

Dining room:

CorLivingDining.jpgI love entertaining (if you haven’t picked this up already) so the décor in the dining room is very important. If you live in smaller space I know the Corliving 5-Piece Rubberwood Bistro Dining Set would be a great match for your dining space. The chairs are the real show stealer and the cut out on the chair back adds interest to your décor. I also like that the chairs are counter height, for a more modern feel.

A sideboard or buffet is an absolute must-have for any dining room. While they look chic, they also provide extra serving space and much needed storage. The Bedford Medium Storage Cabinet from Simpli HomeFour is simply stunning and features adjustable shelves and two doors for displaying all your fine china, movies or collectibles. You can’t go wrong with this choice!

Happy Shopping!
