Garmin dash cams are reliable and easy to use. You likely know how useful they are. Dash cams have gone from a “nice-to-have” to a “must-have” addition to your vehicle. Car owners, truck owners—even motorcycle owners—realize the value of capturing the many unexpected events that happen on the road on digital video. Garmin has a wide selection of dash cams, like the Garmin 47, 57, 67W, and mini all to be given away in this contest. Read on to learn two of my favourite features and for a chance to win one of these Garmin dash cams.

Garmin dash cams provide clear and detailed recordings

Drivers want a dash cam that reliably captures high-quality video and high-definition still recordings. There’s a lot of factors that can affect the quality of the footage: fast moving cars, varying light and weather conditions can make capturing good videos and images even more difficult. There is a lot of technology built into Garmin dash cams to ensure quality images are captured and stored, and can easily be shared afterwards.

When looking for a dash cam, look for ones with the right resolution that can give you quality footages. With the right resolution, dash cams can give you a clear and detailed picture of the road that captures important details, such as plate numbers. Garmin dash cams have the standard 1440p HD and 1080p HD resolutions that, combined with its Clarity HDR optics feature, ensure you get clear and detailed footages day and night.

Save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault

The videos and still photos your dash cam takes help provide a clear picture of incidents that happen on the road, so having a place online to save all of them just makes sense. Most people want a dash cam so they can show recordings of road incidents as proof, whether for insurance or police purposes, and your dash cam should make them readily available for you when you need them.

With Garmin dash cams you can quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. If you want to store your videos for a longer period of time, each Garmin dash cam comes with its own subscription plan.

Through the online storage vault, you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. What I also like about this feature is that you can easily share your video with anyone simply by providing them a link to that video.

  1. i love theprovide clear and detailed recordings, would really come in handy, especially for road accident, if i had to prove it was not my fault ! 😉

  2. I drive daily and see so many crazy drivers that the online storage vault would make it easy to share later

  3. I like the 180-degree field of view & the cameras are great to record road trips so I don’t get lost 🙂

  4. I trust garmin and use many products from them. I would absolutely love to have this. It would have saved me on an insurance claim last year!

  5. I like the Garmin 47 dash cams compact. I like the continuous recording to capture every detail of any incident. I also like the Wi-Fi technology to pair with the Garmin Drive app so I can check on my vehicle, even when it’s parked.

  6. The impressive 180-degree field of view and the ability to view clips from my phone without having to take the sd card out are probably my two favourite features aside from the video quality.

  7. A Garmin Dash cam would be Amazing to document our long summer trips from Manitoba to BC, we make each year. Some of the things you see on our long drives are something else. I personally love that you can view the videos from your phone, and the continuous filming is a fantastic feature! I Personally was involved in a car accident in 2020, and I was fortune someone filmed the person driving on the wrong side of the highway. With out that video it wouldn’t of been as easy to make sense of the whole thing, after all it happened so fast. The video made it clear so my insurance was resolved quickly and the work of the officers easier. A dash cam would bring peace of mind and a sense of security to my family, as well it would be fun to put in our family memories if we catch anything special.

  8. Wi-Fi technology connects to the Garmin Drive app on your smartphone for remote, Live View monitoring and alerts when you’re away from your parked car.

  9. I like the Garmin Clarity HDR optics and the 180-degree field of view of the Garmin 67w. The cameras are great to stay safe on the road and to record parts of my road trips.

  10. I really like the continuous recording and the 140-degree field of view that ensures I don’t miss any important details. This would benefit my driving for insurance purposes mostly even though I am a 35-year veteran of defensive car driving.

  11. The 1440p HD recording is superior to similar dash cams. We have bought others but this clarity and detail is superior to other dash cams. Can’t wait to try it out!!

  12. The online vault is very important and is my favourite feature as I won’t have to worry about losing any information.

  13. Having a dash cam that will document and provide high quality video and still pics recordings of any possible driving/criminal offenses/or accident incidents and would serve as very effective proof if/when needed. This would be awesome to WIN and have.

  14. The most important feature of a Garmin dashcam is the online storage vault because it automatically uploads any incidents. This will be helpful in case of an accident.

  15. This would be amazing to have for my husband. He is a long haul truck driver and travels across North America and there are some TERRIBLE drivers that do not belong on the road. I like the online storage vault because the one that the company has only stores for 48 hrs so it is a great back up.

  16. The HD feature Garmin dash cams is most important to me. It will benefit my driving experience by clearly recording any “incidents” I come across.
