I know that Cuisinart has been creating amazing appliances that make our lives a little easier for many years. However, their new Cuisinart Griddler Deluxe is the first one that I saw and instantly wanted in my kitchen. Instantly! Read on to learn why and to find out how you can enter for a chance to win the sample we sent out for an honest review.

What can you make with a Cuisinart small appliance

We purchase some small appliances for a very specific purpose. With a Cuisinart coffee maker, we make coffee. I bought the Cuisinart Popcorn Maker shown on the right to make … popcorn! Other appliances we buy for their ability to serve a variety of purposes. So you would buy a Cuisinart toaster to toast, you would buy a Cuisinart Toaster Oven to toast, and grill, and bake, etc. The Griddler is one of those more versatile appliances that you purchase to make more than just one thing.

As you can see in the image at the top of this article, it can open up to reveal two independently controlled cooking surfaces. Each cooking plate is reversible: one side is a griddle; one side is for grilling. And each plate can be at different temperatures at the same time. I can see grilling some veggies on one side for the vegetarians in the family, and cooking a steak at a completely different temperature on the other side for the non-vegetarian in the family—me. The veggies and steak would remain separated since each is essentially on its own grill. And it can also be used as a Panini press: a deluxe panini press too!

What would you do with a Cuisinart Griddler Deluxe? Personally, I can’t get breakfast out of my mind. I try to think of other things but this one word flashes past my mind’s eye repeatedly:

  2. Besides bacon of course I would make potato latkes and zucchini pancakes. The season is right for these.

    Hubby doesn’t like and fish products , so for him I would make steak and eggs!

  5. Copycat Frisco Melt

    Ingredients

    For the Frisco Sauce:
    ■ 1 tbsp. mayo
    ■ 1 tbsp. ketchup
    ■ 1 tbsp. French dressing
    ■ 1/4 tsp. sugar
    ■ 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    ■ 1/2 tbsp. sweet relish
    ■ 1/8 tsp. Sriracha
    For the Frisco Melt Sandwich
    ■ 4 ounces hamburger
    ■ 1 can cooking spray
    ■ 2 slices of Texas toast or sourdough
    ■ 2 slices swiss cheese
    ■ 2 slices American cheese
    ■ 1 tbsp. Frisco sauce
    ■ 2 pats salted butter

    Steps to Make It

    For the Frisco Sauce

    Gather the ingredients.

    Add all the ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine. Set aside. You will have leftover sauce, so use it on your favorite sandwiches or other foods.

    For the Frisco Melt Sandwich

    Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat and coat with cooking spray.

    Divide the meat in two thin flat patties and add them to the cast iron. Fry the patties until cooked through and crisp on the outside. Try to flip the patties as little as possible. They will crisp best if only flipped once. Set aside and wipe out cast iron skillet.

    Once the burgers are done, begin to assemble the sandwich. Lay one piece of bread down and add two slices of the swiss cheese. Add one of the cooked burger patties then the two slices of American cheese, then the last burger patty. Next, add the frisco sauce to the remaining piece of bread and put it on top of the sandwich.

    After you’ve wiped out the cast iron skillet, get it hot again over medium heat and add 1 pat of butter.

    When the butter is melted, add the Frisco sandwich and move it around the pan to soak up all the butter and crisp up the bread.

    Meanwhile, add the other pat of butter to the top of the sandwich. After a few minutes, the bread will begin to get crispy and the cheese will start to melt. At this point, flip the sandwich and smear it around so that the butter can sop up into the other piece of bread. Let it cook for a few more minutes until the bread is crispy and the cheese has melted, then enjoy!

  6. I WOULD COOK A WRAP TURKEY WRAP WITH AVOCADO, LETTUCE, TOMATO, MUSTARD AND JALAPENOS

  7. Waking up in the morning sucks but it sucks a whole lot less with eggs, bacon and toast. I know other people are entitled to their own opinions but I’m not wrong about this and anyone who says otherwise has made an enemy for life. That’s what I want to make with this griddle – and maybe add a side of buttery hashbrowns too. You know. Because we’re fancy folk.

  8. It would be great to have my own outdoor pancake breakfast with eggs, bacon and sausages and of course pancakes.

  9. I make some spicy grilled chicken. Then slice it up and throw it in a wrap with grilled pepper peppers and cheese. Then I would throw the wrap on the grill to heat everything up and make it a bit crispy. Serve with salsa and sour cream. And now I am hungry. lol.

  10. I would try to make individual chicken and cheese quesadillas ! it looks perfect to press together and grill— might make a family dinner easy!
