BenQ projectors

Projectors have been around for many years, yet I don’t think they get the love they deserve! They are more versatile than a television, can display everything from movies to presentations on a huge range of surfaces, and they enable to project a huge range of image sizes. Find out for yourself: enter to win one of four BenQ projectors from BenQ and Best Buy.

Many years ago, when my children were younger, I bought a projector to use as the main display in my basement home theatre. I was shocked that it never stayed in one place: my wife would move it to the bedroom to watch a movie when she was sick in bed, my kids would move it to their bedrooms for sleepovers, and I even took it to work a couple times for presentations. That’s something you certainly can’t say about a television. Rarely a day went by that it was not used for movies, gaming, work and more.

What are some of the great features found in BenQ projectors

Get one of the newest projectors in your home from BenQ and you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll use it. The prizes that we are giving away in this contest, two BenQ SVGA DLP Data Projectors (MS517EH) and two BenQ 1080p DLP Home Theatre Projectors (W1090) were reviewed here on the blog by Erin Lawrence: read her review and you’ll learn why she was “blown away.”

Here are some of the features that impressed her about both projectors:

  • virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go
  • projected a massive image with amazing clarity
  • bright display even in a brightly lit room

… and specifically about the W1090 (which is designed for home theatres)

  • automatically found the input source including Chromecast
  • picture was remarkable: “this picture rivaled any TV”
  • internal 10W speaker provides fuller sound than the data projector

Which of these features stands out for you as the best? Will you use it mostly for work, for streaming movies … maybe for gaming! Enter now and you may get to find out for yourself how great BenQ projectors are.

  1. I love that it’s ready for inputs like Chromecast and other USB devices – it would be so handy!

  2. I would totally use this for a “cardboard car drive-in” for the kids in our laneway using the garage door as a screen.

  3. The fact that it’s plug-and-play makes it the most attractive to me, as well as it’s bright output.

  4. The feature I like the most is that it projects a massive image with amazing clarity! I hate a blurry image!

  5. When we are living in Mexico (6 months of the year), we screen movies in our garage for the local kids on our small tv. It’s hard for everyone to see and the light levels can really vary depending on the time of year and the time of night. This would be perfect!

  6. I like that there is 2000 lumens brightness for bright, clear images in both dim home theatre setups and brightly lit rooms. The reason why I’ll explain in my next comment.

  7. I like the brightness of the display, at my age the bigger brighter the better my eyes aren’t what they use to be!

  8. BenQ makes solid products. There’s nothing like watching your favourite movie (in my case, 007 films) on a massive projected image!

  9. It will be used in the family room so my daughter can watch her shows in bigger than life format, which it turn makes me a HERO to my little one. Win Win!!

  10. I like that the projector has virtually no set up required because you plug it in and it is ready to go easy-peasy

  11. I would set it up as a personal drive in for my family and friends. Also in the games room that would make an awesome gaming experience.

  12. I’d appreciate the brightness of the display regardless of how much light is in the room. The easy setup would be great too.

  13. I would use the BenQ projector in the living room at home to show slide and video presentations of vacations.

  14. My favourite feature is the 6500 hours of lamp life. There’s nothing worse that missing out on movie night!

  15. I would use this in my living room the most. I love watching movies, and this would give make it feel like I’m in a movie theatre!

  16. We watch a lot of movies (particularly on weekends), at least one adult movie and one with the kids, so we would definitely make good use of this projector at home.

  17. I’d use it the most in the living room because there currently are no electronics set up in there but there should be.
