Lots new in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

Pokemon Ultra Sun

With just over a month until release, Nintendo has revealed more details on Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are new games set in the Alola region―same as last year’s Sun and Moon. This time though the region is much different with the introduction of Ultra Wormholes.

Riding on the backs of Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala you’ll travel through Ultra Wormholes to reach new worlds beyond. These include the homeworlds of Ultra Beasts that mysteriously appear around the Alola region. Be prepared though, as you may need to battle the Ultra Beasts on their home turf.

You’ll also travel to Ultra Megalopolis, a darkened world that’s had its light stolen by Necrozma. At the centre of Megalopolis is an ominous tower that radiates brilliant. What await us at the top? We’ll have to wait until November 17, 2017, when Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon arrives on Nintendo 3DS.

New Pokémon

In all, more than 400 Pokémon will make their appearance in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. This includes the return of Sun/Moon‘s Starter Pokémon, Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, as well as the Alola regional variant Pokémon. Brand new Pokémon to the region can be discovered too, so get ready to meet some new faces.

Pokemon Ultra Sun Moon - Dawn Wings NecrozmaNew Pokémon forms have been spotted in the Alola region as well. The otherworldly Necrozma now has the ability to take over the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo or Lunala. These alternate forms of Necrozma are called Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma. These forms appear on the box art of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, respectively.

Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma are both Prism Pokémon and possess unique abilities. For example, Dusk Mane Necrozma can unleash Photon Geyser, a Psychic-type special that blasts enemies with a pillar of light. Dawn Wings Necrozma has its own special attacks too, such as shooting energy from the black portions of its wings.

New Ultra Beasts

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will also introduce us to all-new Ultra Beasts. Three special new ones have already been revealed:

UB Adhesive

This new Poison Pin Pokémon is said to be very emotional and can even learn human speech over time. UB Adhesive has a head filled with poison, and fires it using the needles on top of it.

UB Assembly

Next, we have UB Assembly a blocky Rampart Pokémon. While this Pokémon looks like a stone tower, each block is an individual creature that makes up this life-form.

UB Burst

The colourful UB Burst is a Fireworks Pokémon. Its head contains a collection of sparks and it’s able to remove it and use it as a bomb. UB Burst can also confuse enemies with its funny movements, and steal their vitality to use as energy.

Ultra Recon Squad

In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon you’ll come face-to-face with the new Ultra Recon Squad. This group comes from a world beyond Alola and ventured there using an Ultra Wormhole. Depending on which version you play, the story will be told from different perspectives. Dulse and Zossie are key characters in Pokémon Ultra Sun, while Soliera and Phyco taking that role in Pokémon Ultra Moon. The Ultra Recon Squad have a strong connection to UB Adhesive, the aforementioned Poison Pin Ultra Beast.

Last year I gave Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon a 92% score calling it “quite possibly the best Pokémon game yet.” It’ll be exciting to revisit the Alola region next month to go on a new adventure filled with surprises.

  1. >______< The Ultra seem to be a retro or a mimic version of the Pokemon game made by third party.
Just keep the game as it is and it will do well ^___^ Many players like, purchase and support the classic/original.
