The Astro A10 Zelda themed headset

Stopping by the Astro Gaming booth, I looked at the Astro A10 headset designed for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and it’s superb!

AstroAstro Gaming partnered with Nintendo to give the Switch the best affordable headset. The design brings out the golden color of the game. I love the overall professional look of it. The pattern on the ears seem printed with laser. Look at the game title on the headband, the game logo on the ear plates, and even the L and R inside the band. All of it reminds us of Hyrule.

The Astro A10 is an over the ear wired stereo headset. If you’re familiar with the brand, you know quality is important for Astro products. This headset just pushed the bar up in my opinion. The headband is smooth enough to bend for a better adjustment over the head. Having it in my hands, I never worried about break it. The cushions rest perfectly on the ears and cuts all ambient sound around us. Light and comfortable, this is one headset you can wear for hours of gameplay.

Astro is a professional brand developing gamer headsets for over ten years now. Specialised on eSport equipment, that’s why they put the effort in making solid, yet light headsets gamers can wear for hours without feeling head pressure over time.

How the chat functionality works

One of the main reasons gamers shop for a headset it the chat functionality for online multiplayer games. Nintendo Switch has such games as Splatoon 2, and the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Fortnite.

The issue with the console is that it needs a mobile app to connect the headset for vocal chat on Switch. The way the Astro A10 works is by connecting the console on a splitter included with the headset. The splitter is wired to the Nintendo Switch, the phone, then to the headset. Now you’re all set for online multiplayer games and chat with all your friends!

The best Nintendo Switch headset for Zelda fans

The Legend of Zelda is such a great adventure game, Astro wanted to pay tribute to it by designing the most beautiful headset on the market. With the A10, they also wanted to make an affordable product for all Nintendo Switch fans. If you’re looking for a headset on Switch, and you’re a Zelda fan, this is the one to get.

  1. I bought these on Monday, and the right side did not function. I went today (Saturday) to exchange them, I tried them on while I was in the car, and it worked for a second. I got home, and the same thing happened.

I went on to see more reciews about it, and apparently it has happened to other people. It’s so dissapointing because they are so so gorgeous 🙁

  2. I still think that the way Nintendo appears to be handling voice chat is crazy, especially since Fortnite will have voice chat through the headphone jack on the Switch.

This headset does look cool though, and I am interested in picking it up if I ever get around to voice chatting with friends on the Switch!
