sony-4k-tv-living-roomOn the second day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me,
a 65 inch 4K TV!

What better way to bring Christmas to the whole family than with a new TV everyone can enjoy.  Sony’s sweet 65” 4K TV set brings you the newest TV technology, with the highest available resolution, plus HDR colour technology and … it’s smart, meaning you won’t need an external device to connect to streaming TV channels like Netflix and YouTube.

Get to know 4K & HDR

4K is Ultra High Definition TV; it’s a TV with four times as many pixels as HDTV. What does that mean for you? It means clearer lines, a razor sharp video picture, and unsurpassed clarity. (Read more on 4K TV here)

If 4K is about pixels, HDR is all about colour. The term HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, and and it allows TVs to display a wider spectrum of colours and a greater difference in contrast of those colours. More colours means you can see a more realistic picture, because instead of graduated layers of colour, you’re getting more of a true and subtle blending of colours in the video.sony-4k-4

When it comes to the contrast between the lights and the darks, HDR allows the lightest areas to be brighter, and the darkest areas more truly black, and that makes the picture seem more realistically 3D. (Read more about HDR on the blog here)

Plus Sony also offers its proprietary TRILUMINOS display technology. This system produces a wide colour range to bring out vivid reds, greens, and blues. The result is an even more stunning and real-life looking picture.

What can a Sony 4K HDR TV do for the family?

A TV is a great gift for the whole family. Here’s why:

  • Provides a streaming entertainment portal for parents or kids
  • It’s a bigger & better quality set for movie nights
  • Enhances gaming + 4K TV content viewing
  • Replaces your old set that has pixels missing, poor colour, etc.

Smart & Connectedgoogle-cast-tv-2

The Sony Smart 4K TV uses Bluetooth technology to wirelessly pair with mobile devices like your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or laptop. It also features Google Cast technology (similar to what’s found in Google’s Chromecast external streaming device you’ve likely heard about). Chromecast is a type of streaming platform that uses your smartphone to control your TV, letting you watch streaming channels like YouTube or Netflix.

This 65″ Sony Smart TV has an impressive 120Hz refresh rate and Motionflow XR 960 technology which delivers better pixel response times so you can see all kinds of motion and action in very clear detail.  Plus four HDMI inputs allow you to connect your computer accessories like gaming consoles, cameras, camcorders, or USB devices to the TV so you can stream whatever you want to your new giant display.

For a crystal clear video picture, outstanding quality, and a smart interface, Sony’s 65” 4K/HDR TV will be a welcome gift for the family, even if you can’t exactly fit it under your tree!
