What are you looking for in a new TV? A great picture, of course. And a large screen. And smart features. I’m sure there are many things you want in a new TV. But what is the most important feature for you. Enter this contest and you’ll definitely be happy with the amazing features in the Sony XBR55X900E 4K TV that Best Buy is giving away as the prize.

What is the most important feature of a new TV

You won’t find a TV with a cathode-ray, a massive footprint, or a turn-dial for changing channels on the shelves at Best Buy. Instead you’ll see rows and rows of amazing colours, big screens, thin screens, tiny bezels, and versatile, easy to use smart features. In fact, the TV selection has never been better! They are light enough to mount on most walls, bright enough to be clear enough in a very sunny room, and show colours more naturally than ever.

The Sony 55″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR55X900E) is a great example of the best of the best in TV technology and here are a few of its key features:

4K screen: 4K is the new standard for high definition. In fact, this television will make any signal better, even HD quality programming. However, when you watch 4K movies on this screen, you won’t ever want to go back.

HDR: this technology pairs beautifully with 4K resolution screens to make blacker blacks and colours vibrant and realistic.

Triluminos display: Sony adds another dimension of colour vibrancy to ensure reds, blues and greens are shown in the correct hue from more viewing angles, no matter how bright or dim your room is.

Android Smart Operating system: Intelligent, easy to use functions and access to an ever increasing set of applications allow you to get more from your television.

55 inch display: Big screens are simply better! Immerse yourself in the experience.

Voice Control enabled: Speak into the remote for convenient access to content, and control of your televisions features. Additionally, use Google home enabled devices to issue commands.

  1. Actually there are 2 features I need and it’s the 55 inch display on the 4K screen. I already own a 50” Sony which displays in 1080p and I really love this tv, but bigger is yet better…

  2. I really like the HDR feature. On my old TV, sometimes scenes can be too dark to figure out what’s going on, so with deeper blacks and more vibrant colours throughout, that will no longer be an issue.

  3. For me durability and quality of workmanship is important! I want a quality tv that will last for a few years!! Our tv is pretty old so this would be a great win!!!

  4. I love the size and the new and awesome technology. The vibrant colors, the clear sound and the many more things the Sony 4K can do to make entertaining for fun. Thank you.

  5. I would like this see picture in 4K. Which has very crisp picture quality and cinematic experience. Sony is still ahead in display technology. I will use this TV in my living room if I win. Always loved Sony products.

  6. WOW!!! Martin & Best Buy, you are continuing to shock us with these incredible giveaways this month. You do NOT disappoint. Thank you SO MUCH for another amazing opportunity here.
This TV would make an awesome addition/replacement to my current setup for sure………and would make my gaming, movies and TV watching absolutely spectacular (beyond words) 🙂 I have only seen “4K” a couple times in YOUR in-store displays or a couple other places….but it’s a very rare chance to see such amazing quality like that……..and I’ve only heard or seen reviews about the new “HDR” technology. So, if I’m lucky enough, wow, how exciting it would be to enjoy ALL the new technology and features with this truly amazing and high quality TV.

It’s hard to choose just “one” feature that would be “most important” to me……..but out of everything I have experienced with my previous TV’s…….and even with my “Good” current LCD HDTV……..the one “pet peve” I have that I struggle to try to “remove” from the display is the “usually subtle” visible distinction between the “dark blacks/greys”……..and even some colors, too. It should be a “SMOOTH” and “invisible” transition between the different “shades” of the color………..but sadly, it’s like the game, movie, show, etc……forgot to put in one or two levels of that “color” and that’s why we see a “line” between the shades. Not sure if you call it “gradient”??? But whatever it is, it is really annoying, especially if you’re in a very DARK place (like a cave, or dark room, etc…….and only a little bit of light is lighting the surrounding. It just looks really “bad” on my current display, despite how I change all my settings. 🙁

So……I would HOPE……that with the “DISPLAY” features of this beautiful looking 4K tv….with the HDR,, etc…..and all the other special features and settings, I would HOPE this annoying issue would be solved now and the true “experience” of movies, games, etc. can be fully enjoyed without being distracted by the display sometimes. 🙂

Again, THANK YOU Martin & Best Buy for yet another fantastic giveaway. Good luck to everyone!!

  7. With this TV, we may experience the luxury of watching like in the cinema at our own home. It will be the best experience watching all our favorite movies from our cozy sofa.

  8. WOW! This thing sure has alot of super options! I guess my most useful tool would be the Voice Control enabled option.

  9. For me it is all about the 4K.
I like the Size, Brand, Android Features, and the Voice Control too, but those are all just a bonus.

  10. The voice control remote and connectivity to the google smart home services would be awesome to use! Clarity of picture. Better sound. just plain awesome!!

  11. Triluminous display will really make the picture look great. I also really like the Android Smart Operating system to make it easier to access your content from multiple platforms.

  12. Sony’s 4k screen that also up scales is a huge feature which may be available in a lot of TV’s but the 120hz refresh rate and their Triluminous Display makes Sony TV’s a lot more desirable than other manufacturers. It will be perfect for watching action sports, movies and YouTube videos in a room where you sit about 6 feet away from the TV.

  13. Voice Control enabled would be a great for me. I will no longer have to fumble with the remote or turn on a light at night to change channels, volume etc.

  14. Android Smart Operating system is most important to me to be able to watch video from different apps (ie netflix, amazon prime)

  15. 4k Display would be awesome to stream higher quality content, Triluminos Display will give vibrant colours in light or dark, and Voice activated features sounds awesome!, Would love to have this in my living room for Movie nights!

  16. 4k is nice and all and you can definitely see the quality difference however dark blacks on the screen is what really makes it pop if you can have 4k and blacks so black it creates a dimensional rift in space time… so to answer your question the ability to have deep blacks

  17. The primary consideration has to be the picture; so the 4K & HDR support are king. The ports being easy to connect and the Ethernet Port are fabulous too. The are several features I, likely, would not use but it is nice to know I could. I like that it has everything that today’s forefront tech needs and will not be outdated in a heartbeat.

  18. Voice Control and actual android OS are awesome, not to mention the triluminious display cause we don’t have ideal placement all the time with our televisions.

  19. wow ! actual voice commands .. this is a bonus … and then turns on accessory components as well … so many features
and the awesome picture quality… all good !

  20. So many features my current tv doesn’t have… I don’t know which one to mention. I’d love to have a Smart TV (for my Netflix and Crave TV). I’d love to have a voice activated tv (because I lose my remote). I think the best feature is the 4K, mostly because it will give me an excuse to upgrade my PS4 to the Pro Model – and then I can enjoy gaming in 4K.

  21. I would like to see a picture on a TV screen at home, large and clear (4Kl as those I have seen in sales rooms. Clarity and colour never seam to be the same.
